Anyone else watching "Son Of Critch"? It's Mark Critch's (This Hour has 22 Minutes fame) comical take on his childhood growing up in 1980's Newfoundland and Labrador.

Premise has been done before, such as "Everyone Hates Chris" (Chris Rock) or the fictional "The Wonder Years", however this show has East coast Canadiana in it. It's pretty funny, Malcolm McDowell plays the sarcastic, quirky grandfather. Mark Critch plays his father.

The fury of Kim's fans is unabated, Runs the Burbs is getting murdered on IMDB. It's tanked with an audience score of 5.1/10, slightly better than 4.4 Strays got. Ins Choi and Kevin White are going to have a major problem when their new show airs.Run the Burbs is written by Andrew Phung (Kimchee), it getting destroyed seems somewhat unfair.

Here's where the problem lies, Kim's Convenience was nowhere near plateauing, it's popularity was increasing. The writers threw away a cash cow.

In 2017 Simu Liu joined Wong Fu Productions, his plan was two fold. An alliance to help lobby Marvel for an Asiatic super hero and to promote Kim's convenience to LA's Koreatown, he was wildly successful with both.

I don't know the ratings but I found the show got worse as the seasons went on. From what I've seen with on line commentary, I am far from alone in that. Characters became less likable, [except Shannon who was always peak unlikable] from what others said. I kept watching it out of habit but I am glad they pulled the plug.

Could they have done new story lines, sure, did I care, no.

I gave Strays a chance but much like whats her face, it was pure cancer. As for Burbs the commercials didn't really do it for me. Buddy presents alright on screen but he works better as the best friend than as the primary. Unless it's perhaps a different role.

I disagree O Knight of Ni, the show was never meant to be an Asiatic Little House on the Prairie, making the characters likeable. It worked, the characters were relatable. Janet was a spoiled brat who took what her parents offered her for granted. Jung was vain and selfish, he got what he deserved at the end of S5. It was room for much more with too many storied not concluded.

Two Mississauga Tigers feasting on the world...Sugith Varughese is also the Chief Surgeon on Transplant.

I am just a humble shrubber but I found the characters on the likeable side at the start of the show. As time went on I actively started to dislike them... except of course for Shannon who was always pure cancer. I am not saying they were perfect at the start but they were not disagreeable. They basically Flanderized the characters.
At first I enjoyed taking time away from my busy schedule selling shrubbery to watch them, but then I started to dislike them.

I knew someone who was so henpecked that not even passing ruffians had the heart to say ni to him. He finally got to see Appa as a Mexican burrito.

That's nothing I tells you. I had it rough, rough. My mother was a hamster and my father smelled of elderberries.

I've been enjoying Abbott Elementary.

It's a Parks & Rec/The Office-style mockumentary about the teachers at a desperately underfunded public school in inner city Philadelphia.

Moon Knight is outstanding. And I believe will only get better.

Picard is serviceable. I hope they spin off a few of the supporting characters as they are more interesting at this point.

Really curious about the up coming Obi-Wan. It can go either way.

Crave TV has 25 James Bond movies available…. Sadly, not the latest release. But I did watch Skyfall last night…

I never did see Never Say Never Again…. So that will be this weekend

That's still not as rough as Rodney Dangerfield. He said his mother never breast fed him - she said she likes him as a friend.

It's Oscar Isaac, how can it not be good? Ethan Hawke is also in this...and F Murray Abraham.

F Murray Abraham started his career as the Purple Grapes in a Fruit of the Loom commercial.

President Obama has picket up the baton from Peter Trueman, he's documenting a series on National Parks. The legendary Global news anchor passed away in the summer of 2021.

Fox News gave the series a -1/10.
