Heaven, definately Heaven
I'm sure mine will be very different than others:

1) Star Wars: A New Hope (or any attachment from either trilogy)
2) Raiders of the Lost Ark
3) Goldfinger
4) Godzilla 1956 English version with Raymond Burr
5) Blade Runner
6) Star Trek: The Motion Picture (Extended version, not the shorter one)
7) Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (Made for TV version)
8) Rain Man
9) Amadeus
10) King Kong 1976 version (Jessica Lange's ***TITS***, great music and just one fantastic script)
11) Tootsie

Note that "Lord of the Rings" or that shitty 2005 King Kong does even come close to the top 1000. Also, I liked Star Trek: The Motion Picture much more than Star Trek II. Even though long with the trip through V'Ger, I thought the script was great, serious and dark. And it has to be the extended version with additional scenes and reshot material. I liked that style of Star Trek.

Vanishing Point

....and the movie that gave birth to Junior Soprano: Atlantic City

Here are some good top 20 choices from a few years back.

Thanks, Svend. I`m basically copying my list from then, with a few tweaks here and there.

1) Star Wars Trilogy (4, 5, 6)
2) Vertigo
3) Psycho
4) The Graduate
5) Casablanca
6) A Hard Day`s Night
7) Goodfellas
8) Field of Dreams
9) The Magnificent Seven
10) Starship Troopers
11) Independence Day
12) Saving Private Ryan
13) Some Like It Hot
14) When Harry Met Sally
15) Animal House
16) Indiana Jones Trilogy
17) Back to the Future (just the original, the sequels not so much)
18) Pulp Fiction
19) Stripes
20) The Untouchables

I definitely differentiate between favorites (movies I can seemingly watch over and over) and those I think are actually good movies. Independence Day is a preposterous piece of crap, for example, but I find it highly watchable and entertaining. I know every line of Animal House by heart, but it still cracks me up everytime.

Lord of the Rings
King Kong - the Jackson version

Nothing else even close.

Anyone who puts Star Trek I on their list needs to go back on their meds. ... Or decrease the dosage. ... Anyway, what a shit-hole of a movie. Everyone associated with it says the same.
