To me it’s a woman who does the most to be in man’s good grace. The kind of woman that would make fun of her friend in front of men just to make herself look good. The kind of woman that often sides with men that hold highly misogynistic views.

I think a "pick me" women is someone who will do whatever it takes for a man to favour and "pick" her over other women. It doesn't matter who she has to insult or betray to get the attention of the man she wants. Nowadays it's not uncommon to see this happening amongst women especially if the man in question is wealthy and even half way decent looking. Unfortunately money makes both men and women do some crazy things.

This describes my wife's best friend to a 'T'. It looks so desperate that I actually get embarrassed for her when we are in a social situation. She will throw put these little 'shots' to other women in front of guys and then does this pathetic act of putting herself down in order to fish for compliments. She would say things like "I really hate my nose" just so a guy would say that there's nothing wrong with it. What's unfortunate is that she is good looking and doesn't need to do that. And she's also a little conceited so its hard to feel bad for her.

There are women that are head hunters, all that matters to them is the status and/or lifestyle they will get if they snag the right guy. In this economy, there seems to be more head hunters and less trophy BF/husbands around. These trophy BF/husbands are not all stupid. There are some that will be mesmerized by female charms and then there are others that are smart enough to know what the true situation is. The "pick me" ladies like to make themselves known to the prospective targets. There are some "pick me" ladies that are quite good at what they do and are aware that they if the guy is just going to get what he wants and dump her. There are also ladies that are trying to snag trophy BF/husbands way above their class. One lady I knew bought herself a cheapo Mercedes to raise her status, but she was not successful in her attempt to attain her enhanced lifestyle. In a previous failed attempt she was strung along and used for a couple of years by a guy. To get rid of these vampires is quite troublesome. The best way is to take away the honey that they came to attain for themselves. Claim that the bad economy did you in, you had a bad run on the stock market, the CRA is claiming 12 years in unpaid taxes with penalty and interest. Claim that your next address will be the Federal penitentiary. Or maybe she will run when your meals out are at Burger King and McDs.

I saw her cozying up to some of the absolute worst members of this and other boards, including one whose complaining about SWs was so over the top you'd be excused for thinking that he was a troll parodying the stereotype of an entitled "board bro slobbyist". But, satire requires self-awareness and "incels" like that asshat have none.

There was a definite "I'm not like the other girls!" feel to her sycophantic boot-licking of his misogynistic drivel. Just to add to this, I'm also pretty sure I saw her pulling her boot-licker routine with an infamous troll who thought that escort clients are "losers", escorts should be forced into sexual slavery and that Robert Picton should be given a full pardon and awarded the Order of Canada.

The unfortunate thing about a pick me is usually the men they are trying to seek approval from are of poor quality and treat women badly, leaving little real benefit for the pick me.

It's normal to do what's needed to run a good business, but being disrespectful to your colleagues and other providers is another thing, and what I think would qualify as a "pick-me". We talked about it recently, this term is new for me but it always existed, since high school we see women throwing others under the bus to achieve their goal, i.e. any American teen movie with a group of women as main characters; men fight physically, and women are psychological torturers.

And yes, it's troubling that we could be seen negatively for not hating men.

Me too. Also because I don’t agree with deposits and I think escorts in general should be held to a certain level of professionalism.

IMO, almost every single (not referring to their marital status) woman wants to be picked. They just have different ways of going about it, depending on what they think will work. Some are subtle and classy while others are crude and obvious.

She wasn't the one who thought that Picton should be pardoned, it was a troll whose boots she licked at one point who thought that.

Just to add to this, there was a definite self-loathing tone to a lot of what she posted and she tried to play it off as a joke. In the case of the "incel" who I almost got the sense that he resented going to see escorts, I think she was happy she found someone who hated her as much as she hated herself. What made it even worse is that she was a mature provider and he called her a "decrepit old crone" once and she continued to kiss his ass!

And to add a bit more to this, Urban Dictionary's first definition of "pick me" is a pretty on the nose description of her.

One last thing, she was also a boot licker for a certain nuisance who has been a thorn in the side for many in the adult industry in the GTA for years.

I've seen your posts both on here and on Twitter, and I don't get pick-me vibes from you at all. You try to understand men and our perspective, but at the same time you don't throw your colleagues under the bus for our approval. You do hold them accountable for nonsense when appropriate, but that is something everyone needs in general.

These are qualities we appreciate.

For me a pick me girl is beautiful and not ashamed to show it. She also has enough self confidence that she easily engages in conversation and enjoys it. There are men who are at ease talking to women and those that are shy and lack confidence. I heard women who are quiet and resent women who are comfortable talking to men suggesting they are throwing themselves at them. Not true. On the other side of the coin is a different twist for men. Those that are uncomfortable talking to women begin to resent the women - not the guys talking to them. At least that is my perception.

I find it a little amusing to ask guys who visit strip joints about pick me girls - we are surrounded by them.
