Apparently, part of the plan is for member countries to pool their money with some unelected UN- type beaureaucracy. Not only would this raise our taxes, it would also be inefficient and wasteful, just like Trudeau.

Odd how socialist are never wiling to stand up and explicitly state "I want to install socialism and this is how I plan to do it"

There is a simple reason for that. They do not ever get a mandate to implement their nightmare from the electorate
The simple reason is that you see communists in every dark corner and think everyone who isn't as right wing as you are is part of some secret socialist club.
The truth is that you are in a tiny minority of around 10% of Canadians who are as extreme right wing as you.

I don't see the word socialism in the blurb. Loosen your underwear.
Because it is hidden.
The fact that you could take that exact same statement as promise to reset everything to a Christian Dominion ruled by the Pope is irrelevant.

A reorganization of society and economies
Socialism via the back door
Why the back door ?
Because the front door , elections, has been closed to the idea

Justin needs a clear mandate from Canadians via an election for this
Everything Trudeau references in discussing the Great Reset is identical to the platform he ran on in the last election. He already had a mandate from Canadians to do these things. The programs he is describing enjoy broad public support.

Which is why he won the popular vote right?

Oh wait he didn't.......

That support isn't as broad as you and the lefty's think.

He did not run on a mandate to reset society and our economy
He did not ask Canadians for a mandate for him to determine the nature of business models and commit to the management of a global commons. during the last election

Exactly who do you think you are fooling??

I avoided reading this thread because I knew this Great Reset thing was going to turn out to be yet another stupid, bs right wing conspiracy theory. I was correct.

OIC now you are concerned about the "popular vote". You never seem to be phased about it when it came to the US politics in 2016!!
But as usual this whole "Reset" that is taken totally out of context is something that the right wing media blows into a Conspiracy Theory!!

I’m done with the whole idea of arguing with far right, white nationalist conspiracy mongers. It’s not constructive.

I’m just moving on in whatever ways I can.

It certainly is blown out of proportion:

The coronavirus pandemic 'great reset' theory and a false vaccine claim debunked:
Misinformation about a Covid-19 vaccine and pandemic conspiracy theories continue to thrive on social media.
Here's what we've been fact-checking this week.
Justin Trudeau and the 'Great Reset'
We start with the revival of the baseless conspiracy theory, known as the 'Great Reset', which claims a group of world leaders orchestrated the pandemic to take control of the global economy.
The conspiracy theory has its origins in a genuine plan entitled 'The Great Reset', drawn up by the World Economic Forum (WEF), the organisers of an annual conference for high-profile figures from politics and business, The plan explores how countries might recover from the economic damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The WEF recovery plan has been interpreted as sinister, first by fringe conspiracy theory groups on social media, and then by prominent conservative commentators - prompting tens of thousands of interactions across Facebook and Twitter.
It started trending globally on Twitter last week, when a video of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at a UN meeting, saying the pandemic provided an opportunity for a "reset", went viral.
This sparked fresh claims from people, within Canada and further afield, that a cabal of global leaders is using the pandemic to introduce a range of damaging socialist and environmental policies.
When asked about conspiracy theories at the end of the week, Mr Trudeau said: "I think we're in a time of anxiety, where people are looking for reasons for things that are happening to them... we're seeing a lot of people fall prey to disinformation."
A video from August, which now has close to three million views on YouTube, believes only Donald Trump can thwart this secret plot, which uses Covid-19 to bring the US economy to its knees so the "reset" can begin and people will be "begging" for vaccines.
But the suggestion that politicians planned the virus, or are using it to destroy capitalism is wholly without evidence.
So too is the notion that the World Economic Forum has the authority to tell other countries what to do, or that it is coordinating a secret cabal of world leaders.

No wonder why these right wingers fall easy prey to all these dangerous BS posted on a constant basis by the Alt Right Media!!

# 1 the Great Reset certainly did not emanate from any right wing source. It originated from the World Economic Forum

2. How can it be a right wing conspiracy theory when the statement is taken directly from the World Economic Forum ?
Which right wing group pull that off?
Was it the skinheads?
Was it the farmers?
Was it the proud boys?
Was it the rich?
Was it the CIA?
Exactly who from the right wing snuck into the world economic forum and convinced all those left leaning career UN bureaucrats to word salad their goals of socialism into
determining the future state of global relations, the direction of national economies, the priorities of societies, the nature of business models and the management of a global commons. ???

the only conspiracy is why the Great Reset does not spell out in plain language its socialist objectives- Again if that is what ALL the people of the world want , there should be no problem

"ALL the people" is very important as no peace loving, benevolent and 100% altruistic member of the World Economic Forum would ever dream of forcing their nightmare on those that may not wish to be government under the management of a global commons.

I also noticed Socialists also tend to dismiss any challenges of their objectives with dismissals of racism ,or conspiracy theories without ever providing an explanation or even a less sinister view of what this statement represents
determining the future state of global relations, the direction of national economies, the priorities of societies, the nature of business models and the management of a global commons.

So before you accuse anyone I suggest you explain how the explicitly stated goals of determining the priorities of societies , the nature of business models and the management of a global commons. are
a) not socialism
b) not evil

It is a conspiracy because the vague language of the WEF hides the details of what exactly they intend to do. Everything they have so far said is open to interpretation.

When faced with tough questions about objectives which you want to have imposed on others you......... run away?

Another disturbing trend, socialists do not believe in being held accountable. A cornerstone of democracy, opps, I guess democracy ain't so compatible with the Great Reset in the long run

When a group goes out of its way to hide the details of what exactly they intend to do, you can bet the details wont be good

He does not have the responsibility, nor the mandate to re-organize our society and our economy
...
1) You should stop pushing these dumb-assed conspiracy theory.

2) Ignoring your tinfoil ramblings, as PM and holding a majority in parliament in fact does have the authority to enact laws as long as they are in line with the Charter.

As opposed to putting people on ignore because they lost too many arguments?

Wait.
You think that any attempt to discuss any political priorities or international coordination is automatically socialism and evil?

That's impressively dumb.

For instance, if I proposed that we should coordinate in order to restore the pre-eminence of Western Civilization - a Europe that is united and acts as a peaceful bulwark against religious fundamentalism, communism, and radical Islam by promoting European Enlightenment Values and a strong system of Capitalism and Free Trade, do you know how I could describe that?

It would be a plan for determining the future state of global relations, the direction of national economies, the priorities of societies, the nature of business models and the management of a global commons.
