It's only shown round Rememberance Day but BELL's Dieppe Commercial where the young man is in Dieppe France where August 19 1942 the Allies invaded. He calls his Grandfather from there. Grampa asks where he is and he replies Dieppe France. Grampa pauses Young man says I just wanted to say thank you.Its very moving.
I served in the ROYAL HAMILTON LIGHT INFANTRY in the 70's 80's. The RHLI took part in that raid. The LAST surviving RHLI member passed away last year. I cry every time that commercial comes on. I KNEW many of those Vets who came back. We would listen to their stories like wide eyed kids.
