Peter's Steak House on Hwy7 just east of McCowan on the south side. Very cosy fine dining place and very reasonably priced. I doubted you'll get a seat tonite tho'. The place is quite busy with locals even on regular days.

The best Brazilian steak house in TO and Niagara Falls, They feed you and don't stop until u flip the red card on your table. They also have live music sometimes at the TO location. Too bad the site is under construction but it is the best dining experience.

I actually like Hy's downtown but there is so much construction going on around there it isn't much to look at these days It's Adelaide and Bay. Everywhere else I always do medium to medium well depending on the place.

Go to Hys. Maybe 930pm. Ask for Juan or Dimitri (Jimmy). They will find a place for you. Great booths that are perfect for private conversation. Pricey. But worth it.

I've taken a few dates to Harbour Sixty with great success. Not the best steak in the city but the best atmosphere as far as steak houses are concerned. I would never take a date to Black Angus, that's an old school steakhouse you go to with your buddies.

Took your advice and went to House of Chan and was ok. Had stone crabs was ok...at 50 bucks for 5 claws was average taste at best.
then had the rib eye steaks and when it came out I asked for medium rare and they overcooked it. So had it sent back and then came back but still not medium rare but was average at best. What i did noticed was the presentation was quite poor for a pricey steak. They slapped that steak on a cheap white plate with no decorations and looked like it was pan fried with no cross grill marks as in a nice steak house. The spices was bit salty but threw some lemon on and was decent.

Overall was ok, but would not repeat.

My steaks at home are 10 times better than that.
