Noone was arrested in this country for jumping lines

They were arrested for side effects of it

eg BC Couple flies to Yukon to get first crack at vaccine by lying where they plan to work; their arrest was for violating Quarantine requirements.
Group said they planned to drive through Canada to get to US but stopped off (illegally) to get vaccine at pharmacy.

If you have a source for any actual arrests go ahead but beyond moral issues there is no actual law being broken
(not all places even ask for health card number when you go on waiting lists either so I doubt they would notice it before you go in)

You have to provide your HC at the actual vaccine administration

You posted this

I responded with this

Now will the REAL DUMMY please stand up, please stand up , please stand up

HINT- I am firmly planted in my comfy office chair and it's not me who will be standing up!!
You literally re-quoted exactly what I said (twice)
The fact you are having issues understanding it shows who really should stand up lol

AT the vaccine

NOT before

Hence why you can double dip

(if they actually checked ahead of time then you wouldn't be able to schedule your second dose early)

CDC approves Pfizer and Moderna to be mixed as they are both mRNA vaccines. No word on mixing them with AZ, they are working on studies.

That's weird how your shot went
Hospitals will book 1st and 2nd shot at same time I have seen (eg when you are scheduled you get dates for both shots)
Maybe pharmacy are diff
Looks like I was misinformed about the cases you mentioned. For the record, I was merely speculating about what might happen. As I said, the only way to know if you'll get in trouble is to try. I wasn't given an appointment for a second dose. I was told they'll contact me in 4 months if they have the supply. I might consider getting a dose at a pop up if I don't hear from them.

Did you get the AZ at a pharmacy? I got Moderna and when I booked they gave dates for 1st shot and a date for the second shot. I'm pretty sure they will contact you, for the second shot.

I go AZ and my second dose was booked the same day for Aug 10th, but could be moved up depending on vaccine supply.

ON likely to just start mixing vaccines without any studies due to shortages
Have fun my human guinea pigs
I will be interested in the results

The so-called "guinea pig" experiments are going quite well. Just look at Israel, the UK, San Francisco, just to name a few places off the top of my head.

Vaccines have saved millions of lives.

-----------

"The province is waiting for the results from a U.K. study on mixing different vaccines and on advice from a federal immunization panel.

Quebec has also said that it plans to mix vaccines due to supply shortages, substituting the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for the Moderna vaccines in order to quickly give booster shots to long-term care residents.

It’s unclear when more Oxford-AstraZeneca shots will arrive but Ontario is expecting millions of Pfizer-BioNTech shots in the coming weeks.

Biologist and science communicator Samantha Yammine says some Canadians who have already received the Oxford-AstraZeneca shot may be comforted to know they have the option of a different dose."

Mixing should work. As others have said, studies are ongoing, and results will be available soon. Both the mRNA and adenovirus vaccines have the SARS CoV-2 spike protein, which is what the immune system responds to, making you immune to the virus. They just differ in the way the protein is delivered.

And in real news; doctors who actually sit on Ontario's Covid Table making decisions have called out for halt to using AZ due to severe and unpredictable health implications

And in real news; doctors who actually sit on Ontario's Covid Table making decisions have called out for halt to using AZ due to severe and unpredictable health implications

According to your posted news story it's not, as you allege, that multiple "doctors who actually sit on Ontario's Covid Table" are saying that, but just one of such:

"While stressing that he wasn’t speaking on behalf of the table,..."

...

" "With two million combined doses of Pfizer and Moderna arriving weekly through May, and 2.4 million combined doses per week scheduled for June, Canada will soon be “swimming in vaccine,” Morris said."

Hallelujah!

"The 20 million (AZ) doses on order from an American plant should be donated to India and other countries, he said."

That may very well occur.

" “If we could get a billion doses of AstraZeneca to India, I would do it in a heartbeat, because so many people are dying. And yes, some of those people will die (from vaccine-induced blood clotting) but you’re going to be saving millions and millions of lives,” said Morris, a professor of medicine at the University of Toronto and infectious diseases doctor at Sinai Health and University Health Network."

"This shouldn’t be construed as buyer’s remorse, he said. People should not feel as if they were somehow “hoodwinked” into getting AstraZeneca. Every authorized COVID vaccine in Canada has been “absolutely life-saving.” A new analysis just out from Public Health England suggests a single dose of either the AstraZeneca or Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is 80 per cent effective at preventing death from COVID. That rises to 97 per cent after two doses of Pfizer."

"... When COVID is raging, “it’s a total no-brainer (to use AstraZeneca) because, even if you are adding that small risk of harm, it’s outweighed by the benefit,” Morris said. "

"... “The chances that there will be an issue with mixing vaccines are slim to none,” said Dr. Allison McGeer, a medical microbiologist and infectious diseases specialist at Toronto’s Sinai Health System. “There are a lot of things keeping me awake at night. This is not one of them.” "

"...“If you got your AstraZeneca vaccine more than a month ago, that’s a good decision with a good outcome,” she said. “I know all sorts of people — my husband, my sister, lots of people — who got the AstraZeneca vaccine and it was a good decision at the time."

" “This is the thing about pandemics. New diseases. Things change. The right thing to do changes over time.” "

@squeezer - Are you happy that you got in a shot at least? How do you feel about possibly switching it up?

For me, I am ok with being mixed with one of the others, I just don’t feel I need to rush at all. I am happy I have some protection now while I wait for better protection is the way I am thinking.

I have no remorse about getting the AZ shot. I've felt absolutely no side effects. I would take the second if offered and only mix if the UK studies show in the next few weeks it is safe to do so. I'm hoping the studies actually reveal its superior efficacy-wise to mix in the MRNA shot.

That is exactly how I feel. I shouldn’t have said Im ok with mixing, I just think the studies are going to come back well so I WOULD be okay then. But I don’t regret getting it either.
