Considering Trump is more supportive of Netanyahu than any Democrat, the change was likely that Hamas realized if they wait for Trump, the deal will only be worse. That is the only explanation for Hamas suddenly accepting ceasefire terms that they have been rejecting from the start. Hamas has regularly rejected any deal without an immediate withdrawal of Israeli troops or that required them to immediately release the hostages. Every serious negotiation was based on exactly that, a phased withdrawal tied to a phased release of hostages but at best, the threat of Trump's hardline pro-Israel stance scared hamas into dealing now.

Every Hamas offer required an immediate IDF withdrawal, a permanent ceasefire without any confidence building steps, the immediate release of large numbers of convicted terrorists, and then an eventual release of their war crime hostages.
That's the opposite of what we have here which is essentially the same as the UNSC resolution Hamas rejected.
