What do you really think of human beings?

Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not.
Disagree. The entire world always has been and always will been survival of the fittest. If a species is weak enough it becomes extinct even without man such as dinosaurs. There is an equilibrium but it does not mean that everything survives.

It is simply Darwinism, survival and dominance of the fittest. Humans have proved to be the fittest, even with all of our flaws.

Do you think we can adapt better than the dinosaurs
to the aftermath of the asteroid impact that wiped them
out?

Not to mention global starvation. We literally only have enough healthy landmass for so many wheat fields and cows. We gunna starve if we don't start finding more sustainable resources ASAP. Actually, probably already too late.

I fully agree. Global population has already exceeded
Earth's carrying capacity. Unfortunately unlike climate change
it is politically incorrect to remind people of the impending crisis
of overpopulation.

Most of the food supply is used to feed cows and chickens.

If everyone switches to grains the population could double, and there's still left over food.

As far as resources, even if half the population dies, the resource use is the same.

The US of A accounts for 4% of the population but 30% of the consumption. The rich people in America account for over half of that 30%.

One factor may be capable of eliminating more than one species concurrently.

At this point in time, no one can deny that the mammal, human being, has a distinct superiority.

Just to address your asteroid scenario, there is no way that dinosaur could have foreseen and known how to deal with such an event. Not saying that man would have survived an asteroid,, but we are already aware of comets or asteroids coming close to us. That, at least, is a head start on the dinos.

Do you think of them as animals?

Or separate from animals?

If you think they are separate, then I guess animals are our ancestors?
Read a book.

Or, several.

As individuals or in a small group, most are great. However, in larger groups, especially with someone that wants to be the leader, is where things usually go bad.

I don't think you are correct. Homo Sapiens is the only species that exterminates other species, just because it can, not because it confers any advantage.

I don't think it matters whether it is intentional or not. The fact that it can at will, implicitly implies that man has an evolutionary advantage. Man's brain is what has made man the dominant species.

Certain virus or plagues can wipe out certain species of animals or vegetation. I remember there was a fear of certain elm trees going extinct due to Dutch Elm Disease. Actually, man may have helped prevent another species to not go extinct.

Agent Smith from The Matrix: “I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure.”
And Corona the cure?

I think humans were better off before they became an online hive mind. Now they're stupid, vindictive, thin-skinned, egotistical assholes.
