It's hard to make changes but I've done a few things that made a big difference for me. The motivation was more economics than saving the environment though.
The biggest difference was finding a job closer to home, now it's a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride. It's amazing that some people can sit in traffic for over an hour every day - what a waste of time and money plus a toll on your sanity.

LOL, the traffic must have taken a toll on your sanity - why would I spend more hours at work just to avoid the rush hour?
