I watched the pilot, but I wasn't that interested. As much as I like Ed Harris, Yul Brenner is irreplaceable. That's where my skepticism lay.

Christopher Nolan directed and wrote Dunkirk himself. Which raised the question: what happened to Jonathan Nolan? I Googled the question and was told that JN is the creator and writer of Westworld - so I started watching the show again. It was probably time for the Nolan brothers to part ways, their last two collaborations were somewhat messy. Obviously the split was amicable since the rights to Westworld are owned by the Nolan Family production company Bad Robot. So far the show is building, much like The Wire. The relationship between Dolores (Even Rachel Wood) and Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright) is keeping me interested. Neither of these fine actors has given a bad performance. And it's only a matter of time before The Man in Black starts picking off some of the cheese eating humans who go to Westworld just to kill.

Enjoyed the first season. But from the trailers, I'm not sure about the coming season I'm afraid it may have shot it's bolt.

The show is property of the Nolan Family production company Bad Robot, HBO provides the distribution.

The scene in the saloon between Ed Harris and Anthony Hopkins drew me right in. At first the host that stoned himself didn't make sense to me but now it seems perfectly clear.

I was skeptical that it would be any good, but the first season turned out to be amazing.

I had to look it up, Syncopy is the Nolan production company. My mistake.

Good thing JJ Abrams didn't write any of the episodes, he's like Ron Howard: predictable.

This show is too dense to binge, I'm taking it one episode a day.

Silly humans, so full of hubris, thinking they can control AI. In the future, game reserves will be populated by humans. Come with me if you want to fart.

On a lighter note, Evan Rachel Wood never gives a bad performance.

Hits the trifecta of sex, violence and Science Fiction. Strong performances, twisting plot, typical dystopian story line....

I loved the first season, looking forward to the second.

Lovely Lili Simmons gets around, from Banshee to Ray Donovan and now Westworld. Still, I hope the lovely Clementine isn't out of the series, last we saw of her she had a screwdriver up her nose. I don't know anything about the actress except that she was a perfect foil to Thande Newton's Maeve.

Dating Evan Rachel Wood must be a load - of fun.

I caught episode 1 the night it aired and was hooked. My current favourite show, GoT aside. On re-watches the show looks better, and the storytelling dramatically improves by the 2nd or 3rd episode. I thought most performances were pretty good from the start, considering where their characters needed to end up at the end of the season.

Spoiler Alert:

Not sure how far in you are, but you may want to avoid any Westworld talk until the end of your first trip to the park.

That said, the Decoding Westworld podcast is as good as they get. It attempts to be spoiler-free, but still speculates on show direction. Great companion to the series, especially as it’s airing if you’re the only one watching and you want to nerd-out.

I took your word for it and didn't watch the trailers.

GoT isn't bad for a fantasy but I'd still rather watch this show, Ray Donovan, Vikings and Star Trek-Discovery instead.

I found the first season to be a little inconsistent at times in terms of quality, but it had absolutely brilliant moments and on the whole it was pretty great.
If anyone hasn't watched it yet, you're missing out.
