should i start watching the GOT show? from season 1 or not worth it?
Look at it this way, if you prefer Star Wars to Star Trek then GoT will become your favorite show.

SPOILER ALERT

I made time to watch the last two episodes together, the spirits of Isaac Asimov and Kurt Vonnegut loom large in this series. The show starts off in an Asimov fashion and ends with Vonnegut's theory of humanity from Galapagos. If you haven't read that book you should. So far Jeffrey Wright (Bernard) is the star of the series. Kudos also have to go out to Thande Newton, she's finally found her acting legs. Also I got a big kick out of one of the show's main location, obviously Jonathan Nolan is a Star Trek fan.

Great books and great TV. If you’re a big reader, it’s well worth it to just start there. Even the audiobooks are a huge commitment, though.

If you’re not a big reader, the show is pretty great, especially once you start keeping characters/names and plot straight. The first few episodes are daunting, and a bit tough to follow without a second viewing after you’re further through the season.

Season 2 of Westworld premiered on Sunday.

They've introduced new actors into the series: Gustaf Skarsgard (Vikings - Floki) and Fares Fares (0 Dark 30) being the most notable. By the look of Ep1, its apparent that the show will revolve around Evan Rachel Wood and Jeffrey Wright. A sound decision, as a paramilitary commander Floki is being set up as the nemesis. I didn't know that Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan are a couple, with that much talent they couldn't be happy playing second fiddles to Christopher.

I'm looking forward to the developing story, Jeffrey Wright is incapable of acting badly. He's been swinging for the fences since playing Roy Cohn's (Al Pacino) nurse in Angels in America.

Robot sex with Thandie Newton in Westworld is pretty hot too.
Funny, I find her to be miscast in the role. (And not that attractive either.). I would say she is the weakest link in the entire show in fact. I guess the producers saw something in her that I don't.

I watched all of last season and would give it 2 stars out of 5. I found it hard to get into and I had to make a point of watching it. At one point I stopped because it just wasn't doing it for me as I found the scenes of violence (shoot out after shoot out) to be redundant and pointless. In fact, over the top. I like Ed Harris, and Anthony Hopkins very much as actors go, and they bring huge star power to the show, but I thought Harris was just phoning it in. Lastly, the plot seemed to jump all over the damn place.

I might give season 2 a look see, but I'm not eagerly anticipating it (like I am the final season of Game of Thrones.)

I thought the same Tiberius, I watched the pilot but didn't watch the rest until much later.

I disagree on Ed Harris, he's playing his role in the same manner as A History of Violence. Thandie Newton is a good actress but not in the same league as Evan Rachel Wood or Jeffrey Wright.

In other news, the awesome Adele Exarchopoulos is now on Netflix. She carried Blue Is The Warmest Colour while still a teenager...only the French and perhaps the Italians can get away with doing that.

Jesus Alou, is Cate Blanchett a masher!?
