I don't see a problem with people growing their own for medicinal purposes. that's what has been allowed.Maybe OT but I think they only want licensed establishments growing MM - that's the aim. Otherwise, everybody will say I grow for medicinal purposes.

To me, the government's argument states there is no reason at all to limit users to Health Canada approved cannabis. It's not better than any other strain, so they are justified in growing their own for the lower cost and convenience. In this week’s court hearing, a government lawyer said there is no constitutional right to cheap medicine, and he argued there was no scientific evidence to show specific strains of marijuana are better suited to particular illnesses or patients.
And the argument that it's unsafe to grow indoor plants and that this must be criminalized is fucking crazy. Only a conservative could agree with that sort of government intrusion into people's homes. Home fires usually start in the kitchen, are they going to make stove top cooking illegal next.

I think this might be a loophole that hobbyists can exploit!Judge Michael Manson granted an application from a group of medical marijuana patients, who asked for a temporary injunction to preserve the status quo until a constitutional challenge of the new system can be heard.
As soon as the Harper legislation against johns comes down, application can be made for a temporary injunction to preserve the status quo until a constitutional challenge of the new laws can be heard.
