Hello:

I've recently realized I love the tv show Vikings! I downloaded season 1 and am currently watching it. While searching around the net I came across a website, Watch32.com, which claims I can watch season 2 online for free, and totally legit. Does anyone have any experience with this site? I'm leery of sites like this as I've become more aware of malware, tracking etc. I would really prefer to watch the series online, as opposed to downloading it (received a few emails from Rogers). If not Watch32, does anyone have a recommended safe site for watching tv series? Thanks

Homer

These watch online sites make me nervous as hell. Sure, most of them can be used "safely", but there is hella lot of malware and virus type shit floating around them. I'd much rather just download the torrents (http://www.tvtorrents.com/ is a great site for TV shows). But if your only alternative is a site like watch32 or viooz, then be extra careful. DO NOT install any dodgy addons or plugins to your browser, even if the video refuses to play without them. And I hope it goes without saying - do NOT click on any of the popups. And why are you even getting popups? You do have adblock installed, don't you? tsk tsk.

I have used and others I know have used levida for a few years now. No malware or viruses. There are a couple of pop ups, but close and proceed. Wootly and Colenak are the best. One never has to install anything to watch a show.

Glad to hear it. Viooz is another one (that I already mentioned). My wife watches movies on it all the time and just blocks all the popups - no problems. Personally I still prefer torrents though. Especially when they've been vetted by users or are linked to on a reputable site (like tvtorrents).

Keeping in mind nothing is free..............

Sometimes what you 'trade' by watching online free is your bandwidth.
It allows them to 'channel' through your ISP - nothing malicious just fair trade.

Have never bothered to watch movies or shows online, so please forgive whatever naivety seems apparent in this question:

When using these sites, are you downloading video to your computer, thereby creating files you can watch later but also taking up hard drive storage or are you simply streaming video, the way you watch something on YouTube?

Obviously, the reason I ask relates to the issue of how much data download my internet plan allows per month.

The sites mentioned are streaming video. Except for TVtorrents - torrents are files that you can download. I'm the anti-Art Mann I guess. I never watch TV or movies EXCEPT for watching them online. I haven't owned a TV in a decade. And the nice thing is that there are increasingly more legal and legitimate ways to watch TV and movies online. And unless you are an HD fetishist, the bandwidth requirements are fairly modest.
