Warning! Police Speed Traps On Hwy 7!

Just went out to "Got Ass Tuesdays" at Whiskey A-Go-Go.....

I could not believe the number of speedtraps between Kennedy/Hwy 7 to Keele/Hwy 7!!!
Not only are they setting the traps, but they are also aggressively stopping as many people as they can.
Saw about 8 cop cars that had pulled people over, saw 2 pulling people over when going to Whiskey.
Saw another 6 cop cars that had pulled people over, and 2 pulling people over on the way home.

What the hell's going on?!?!?!

Seems the cops has a new fleet of unmarked cars - dark blue Ford Fusions, with regular factory paint job & rims and all normal trim, no conspicusous antenas or anything else that would give it away as police use. Over the past ten days I've seen three of them with a uniformed officer inside.

I don't remember what day it was but I remember hearing something about a "police action" on hwy 7...this usually means they are investigating something or trying to find someone....that was probably what you saw...

They also have speed traps in between Markham and McCowan on HWY 7.

hey guys rosie is right, lots of drama in york region, specially on highway 7...it was a hot spot for street racing and i won't get into much detail but yea i been pulled a few time on highway 7 once by an unmarked cop car and it was a friggin mazda tribute that pulled me over.

Peel Regional has some minivans as well as a Dodge Ram Pick-up that they use for undercover. I wouldn't have believed the pick-up myself if I hadn't seen them hit the lights and siren and pull someone over with it right in front of me.

About an hour ago on hwy400 I saw two OPP within a km of each other with cars pulled over. Southbound, between Finch and 401.

Your the idiot if you think driving 7 km over the limit is endangerment. Pull over those guys that fly by when its raining, or the 18 wheelers going 80 in a 60 zone, and dont just give them a ticket give them a summons to, for reckless driving. Cops should use their limited resources to make a real differance. Not just a cash Grab.
