PC's need a majority Gov here in Ontario. VOTE PC so they get a Majority.

Liberals and NDP have NO idea how to run the Province except to borrow money at the rate of 1 billion every 30 days. We now owe aprox 286 Billion dollars. We pay 10 million in interest charges right now. If interest rates rise just 2%....that is 5.6 Billion extra on top of the 10 million. Where will this money come from???

We are in worse shape now then California and Greece.

PC's are the ONLY solution to get this Province under control. Yes they will cut....no other choice as the Liberals have run the Province right up to the door of Bankruptcy. It will be a massive effort and will take 50 years of PC in Power to correct all the damage that NDP and Liberals caused.

As far as laying off 100,000....Peanuts. Liberals hired this and more and people are just sharpening pencils. They will be the ones to go as we just have NO money to pay them. Nothing personal....just business. Teachers also are making far to much money for short working hours. They need a good haircut as we can't afford their demands.
Anyone on Public money needs to be looked at.

If we don't get the Province under control....this Province will fall into a deep depression. People will be moving out in droves. House values will fall considerably. It will be 1930's all over again just here in Ontario.

The only solution is PC's. They are the only responsible ones you can trust. WE need a Huge Majority to get this Province under control of the PC's. Anything else and we are doomed.

I have been reading your comments here and the majority of you have NO idea about money and how it works. Just vote PC's for future stability.

Remember...once we hit Bankruptcy....we are all screwed. This could happen in as soon as 5-10 years from now. Its not far off. That is when we turn into Detroit2.

Be very careful what you wish for in this election. A PC Majority is the ONLY solution for Ontario to get it back on track.

Well if the debt issue is not addressed right now, your kids may wind up drinking sewer water as there will be no new infrastructure for a very long time

I'd have more respect for someone who voted NDP this election rather than Liberal. They are unfit to govern. But of course the idiot Liberal voters in Toronto will continue to support these misfits no matter how many tax dollars are wasted. All because they think the PC Party is the bogeyman. Get over amalgamation already will ya people.

I think Tim Hudak has effectively proven himself to be both an incompetent and a fanatic. That is the same poisonous combination that made the Harris regime such a catastrophe.

Bring been Bill Davis. Why has the PC party become the party of stupid?

....so then vote for that decrepit crypt keeper and watch her "revenue tool" us into the hinterland of economic despair. Wynne seems hell bent on racing the province of Quebec to the bottom. Wynne has no clue what she's doing and neither does that pompous one time flipper of hamburgers Sousa. Look at how proud the crypt keeper is when she tells you that hydro rates will increase 46% over the next 3 years. Look at the clueless expression on her face when she says she'll balance the books by running ever increasing deficits year over year, it's laughable

When Chretien & Martin brought in their scorched earth policies of slashing and burning at the federal level, it was the right thing to do. So what's changed? Is it the wrong policy because someone other than a liberal is trying to do it? Liberals will say anything and do anything just to get elected, they then forget all that they pledged and bring forward their own hidden agendas. The Ontario Liberal party will be the subject of case studies in future university courses as how corrupt and duplicitous policies can be, not to mention how uninformed the ontario electorate actually is.

I think the Liberals under McGuinty/Wynne have been a far more catastrophic administration for Ontario than the PC's under Harris/Eves ever were. Under Harris at least when the province downloaded responsibilities to the municipalities they gave them some revenue tools. Did Martin/Chretien do the same for Ontario when they cut transfer payments?

Ontario had the ability to raise taxes and does not need permission from the Federal government to do so.

The services downloaded to Toronto have and still have no business being paid from property tax. McGuinty fixed some of the damage but really all that stuff needs to be uploaded back to the province. The city should focus on utilities, fire/police services to residents, roads, parks, schools, transit, recreation, etc.

The idea that the city should be involved in welfare, subsidized housing, etc., is deeply flawed. Income equalization needs to be paid from income tax.

You can count on unmitigated application of the Federal prostitution bill if you vote for Hudak.

As a dyed in the wool lifelong conservative who joined the party in 1981 in the riding of Calgary West (Peter Lougheed's riding) I'm humbled to say that I too would sooner vote NDP than cast a vote for those miserable liberals. But alas, I unlike you have an option, that option is to vote PC which I intend to. Kathleen Wynne scares the ever living shit out of me with her left of NDP policies. It's one thing to be left of the NDP, but nothing she says is credible, then there is that useless tool of a finance minister and an even bigger pig's testicle in the form of energy minister Bob Chiarelli, was she bottom trolling for bottom feeders when she pulled those two up? Together the three of them they wouldn't add up to 2 cents.

What has changed? Deficits are in fashion now. And worldwide sentiment to them has changed. What makes you think Hudak will balance the books? How much will it cost to fire 100,000 civil servants? Is anything that Hudak says credible? Really? How can you respect a party that decided to keep a leader that lost to McGuinty, seriously. If they put Mr. Potato head in charge I would be more inclined to vote for them. Just being a PC member and a member of TERB shows what a hypocrite you are lol.

There is a hard core of 35% who are the Tory base. Beyond that everybody hates their guts.

They have taken a page from Karl Rove and learned that elections are not so much about finding new voters and it is about ginning up your base and getting them in a lather so you get a very high turnout of your 35%.

Hence the looney right wing policies.

The problem with Hudak I find is he is not right wing enough.

The only right wingers on the current scene around here is the beloved brothers, number 1 and number 2.

Remember Reagan? He fired those air traffic controllers, those union bums. Guess what? The country America cheered.

Remember Thatcher, the Iron Lady? Iron woman I believe beat up on a miners union, forcing to go back to work not even giving a single extra penny.

Remember the first thing Rob Ford did? Cut the widely hated vehicle registration tax, then contract out the garbage, dealing a blow to the union that the public learned to hate during the garbage strike under the Miller regime.

See the pattern?

Bust an union and you will prove your right wing credentials. Anything less means you're not a right winger, but a wannabe. Liberals!

So when Ford locked the TTC union into a sweet deal in perpetuity, what did they make him?

He made it so his successors can't even roll back the sweet deal he gave them by getting them declared essential.
