McMahon later allegedly pressured Grant to sign a non-disclosure agreement after he told her that his wife had found out about their relationship, according to the complaint.

"Ultimately, Ms. Grant succumbed to the pressure and signed the NDA in exchange for payments – which McMahon later stopped making," the lawsuit claims.

The lawsuit is asking a court to declare her NDA invalid under federal law, including the Trafficking Victims Protection Act. WWE didn't immediately return a request for comment.

Believe her now?
If he stopped making payments, he breached the NDA himself. And that means it's UNENFORCEABLE..... 😹 😹 😹 😹 😯

Look, I'm not a fan of the overboard nature, and victim culture mentality of the Me Too Movement either, but if you don't think this accusation is 100% true you don't know Vince McMahon that well.

He is fucked. Every story from former wrestlers to former business associates over the years, paint the same picture with this guy. He is a vain, egocentric, megalomaniac.
Vince used to pressure every single female wrestler to get huge implants as conditions of their contract.
This guy is and always has been a sick, controlling, fuck.
And just like Weinstein, his behavior is the worst kept secret in his industry. Everybody knew about it.
This story is 100% true.
This.
It is easy to believe that Vince did this because he has a long history of being a piece of shit in ways that resemble this.
There will be a case and proof in court is held to a higher standard, but there is very little reason to doubt this happened.

The Me Too movement has ruined the credibility of these claims. If Janel Grant has a copy of the NDA she signed as well as a documented payment arrangement I'd be more inclined to believe her story.
???
This particular NDA was reported (without specific names or details) as part of WWE's SEC corporate filings in 2022, This was after an SEC inquiry and forced corrections to their financial statements There is nothing fake about the existence of this particular NDA (of course I assume the NDA was more general)

Basically the story went like this in 2022
1. The WSJ reported they had found out about a few NDA's between Vince and former employees, including this particular employee (they mentioned her role, but not her name)
2. A special corporate committee and WSJ found even more NDA's existed between Vince and former WWE employees. Note these were all paid by Vince, signed by Vince, but not the WWE.
3. SEC came sniffing.
4. The WWE announced the WWE would need to issue corrected financials because of the material financial misstatements related to multiple NDA's between Vince and former employees. The settlements had been or were to be fully paid by Vince, but since the NDA's were in place to protect the WWE from liability related to VInce's actions as a corporate officer, those expenses needed to be booked by WWE even if they were paid by Vince.
5. The WWE issued new financial statements and 8K filings detailing the NDA's at a high level.

Vince for some reason decided to allegedly stop paying the NDA, so now we have this lawsuit in a very public document that is very detailed.. I assume the NDA had general terms regarding disclosure of any of their time together so when investigations were made by the board looking into them in the past he couldn't be taken down.

Vince survived in 2022.
Vince also had voting control of the WWE in 2022, so unless he did something criminal or that would require him to step down under SEC rules he could stay in power. But now he no longer has voting control of the WWE after the corporate merger with the UFC folk earlier in 2023, and this document is public and very detailed. So he could be thrown out.

It has always baffled me why these guys in power prey on their vulnerable subordinates that would cause them great legal trouble. Why don't they just hire escorts?
Because they get off on exploiting people who are “weaker” than them. It’s literally part of what arouses them.

If this is true and I suspect it is, Vince is a POS and it's a shame because I always found him very entertaining..

From the above article:

“McMahon said, “Throughout this experience, I have always denied any intentional wrongdoing and continue to do so.”

If your defence includes statements claiming you didn’t do it on purpose then you have probably lost the argument.

I was in the Johnny Depp camp after seeing her on the stand but Vince I suspect did exactly what he's being accused of. I could be wrong but I have my gut feel telling me he's a dirtbag.
Same.

Anyone who followed WWE through the Attitude Era cannot be surprised by these allegations.

She's tiny and these guys are massive. He was trying to set her up with Brock Lesner. I hope Brock didn't accept or he's in trouble too.
Brock accepted but their rendezvous got cancelled due to storms and bad weather.

I went through the legal document today. Some sick stuff as Vince build his up his predatory hold. There is no doubt Vince needs to go down and pay damages. H
gov.uscourts.ctd.157647.1.0.pdf (courtlistener.com)

But the talk of social media today, is whether other higher ups in the WWE should fall. For those unaware wrestling social media is very tribalistic amongst two organizations. I read page 48-52 (Section IV) of the document regarding the blame / liability of other corporate officers, and it doesn't really sound overly convincing in its arguments that people "knew" or should have known about the physically and mentally abusive and predatory behavior. I'm sure they knew that old creep Vince was having an extra marital offer with this young woman, but it seems to be quite a leap to then say others should know.

What do others here think, @mandrill , any thoughts on the blame/liability related to others?

82. On May 11, 2019, McMahon invited Ms. Grant to his condo again and asked her to lay in bed with him before informing her that he had ordered WWE Corporate Officer No. 4 to offer her the job, even though a job description had not been firmed up beyond a high-level summary.
83. While incredibly excited to finally receive long-awaited employment and financial security, Ms. Grant expressed to McMahon that there seemed to be a conflict between his doing this and his warning to Ms. Grant that no one could know about their closeness. He appeared amused with this, replying “It’s my company.” McMahon then undressed down to his briefs, while Ms. Grant remained clothed, and he began kissing Ms. Grant and inserting his hands into her pants without consent.
85. On May 17, 2019, Ms. Grant received an offer letter from WWE for an entry level job as “legal administrator-coordinator” with a salary of $75,000.
88. During the May 18, 2019, encounter, Ms. Grant felt coerced into engaging in sexual activity and that McMahon had trapped her an impossible situation, as she feared adverse career and personal consequences and legal retaliation if she declined his advances. McMahon stated, “This is what I have been waiting for” as he performed oral sex on Ms. Grant. Ms. Grant asked that protection be used, and McMahon responded that there was no need to worry because he was “clean.”
89. Feeling that she was being used for his gratification, Ms. Grant went numb and was unable to make eye contact. McMahon then flipped on his back and said, “Okay, jack ’em off.”
90. Disturbed by the nonconsensual sexual encounter, she hoped that McMahon would cease his advances. But his advances continued and left her to fulfill his demands or lose her job.

A few kisses and hands in the pants, and she's expecting $75000 a year without putting out for the man, so young and naive.

Whenever I pay $160 I expect sex.

Are you trolling and playing dumb? Its quite clear from what you copy pasted that McMahon is an abusive old creep.
Coming from to the guy who defends Hamas terrorists, I'm the one trolling?

I understand you hating the idea of old guys shitting on your mother, daughter, sister, but Ms Grant isn't one of them, is she?

If she had gone to the police after he performed oral sex on her after giving her a job from the beginning, then she might qualify as a victim, but then she proceeds to have a sexual relationship with him for years, and now she's a victim? If you had read the whole thing, she was basically doing nothing in the company except having sex or getting pimped out by him while on his payroll. Sex for money, that is not prostitution to you? Why would anyone give her a high paying job expecting nothing in return?
