If he hadn't got caught in the bottle, Jonathan Rhys Meyers would be a superstar today. The Bishop is a SOB
+1 couldn't agree more, Michael Hirst is fantastic. Despite the many liberties the show has taken in terms of the history and how it differs from the sagas, he's created such an engaging narrative that you don't really care. This season has been great so far, especially the Jonathan Rhys Meyers characterThe real star of this show to me is Michael Hirst, the show's creator and lead writer.
The show is still going very strong even after Ragnar is killed off and that's because Hirst is so skilled at creating narratives that keep you hooked into the drama going on.
The guy is a genius who doesn't get nearly enough credit for the work he puts into this show.
The series was renewed for a sixth season of 20 episodes even before the first episode of season 5 aired. Season 5 is also going to be 20 episodes .
Seasons 1, 2, and 3 totaled just 29 episodes. Fans of the show need their Viking fix I guess.
i would still let Emileee ride my dragon. I haven't started watching Vikings yet, but the introduction is looking hot so far...There is one big difference between Vikings and Game of Thrones, no actor on Vikings is as bad as Emilia Clarke. GoT grinds to standstill whenever she has to carry a scene, they're hoping that by pairing her with Dinklage people will not notice.
