On the other hand, if a person is small-minded, not-very-bright, xenophobic, racist populist, I do agree that (a) people ought not to elect him (I still remember that fateful day in November 2016), and (b) people should be allowed to call him a small-minded, not-very-bright, xenophobic, racists populist.
