You hated it when people mocked Rob Ford for his addiction etc. But it seems like you have no problems constantly mocking Trudeau for nothing burgers!! In the end it is all about your political colours.
Anyway, Trump is the biggest idiot, in the manner in which he has no clue what he is waffling about. All he does is to praise his own idiotic ass. The favourability ratings says it all, where the American people think he is handling this crisis so pathetically. Just praising himself when over a million Americans are infected and over 60,000 have died. What sick individual he is. Trudeau is far more professional in the manner in which he has conducted himself. That is why his favourability ratings are way higher than Trump's ratings. We know that all the right wingers hate that fact!!
Since quarantine has been imposed I've been watching Real Time religiously. Before this shitstorm started, I used to watch it when I could - Maher made another valid point.
He said that if America had a competent President (let's imagine someone like John Horgan), a brilliant electorate and a fit public they could have cut down the death rate by 30%. It's water under the bridge as the death rate continues to rise, 3200 more in the last four days, and some States opening for business again. The contagion isn't even remotely close to being under control. Then there is the twin headed hydra of deflation and unemployment which will probably leave North America in a Economic Depression as the contagion subsides. The Fed cut the interest rate five time with no effect. Most of the bail out money went to corporations who are now doing buybacks of public shares. Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun can sleep soundly at night, he now has the money to cover the impending class action lawsuits.
Is there a dearth of Talent? After 9/16/2008 the USA was in the very capable hands of Hank "brass balls" Paulson, then Timothy Geithner followed up on Paulson's strategy. Can Steve Mnuchin rise to the occasion, he'll have less options than Paulson. Mingia it's going to get dire!
