Anyone interested?

My thoughts are they should restrict technology so guys cannot fly it 350 - where will it end ?

Also, design courses so the smaller guys can compete

Rain at Oakmount may bring the smaller guys back into it

1 makes rough more penal

2 stops ball from rolling 50 yards

3 ball needs less spin to stop on green and longer clubs into green have less spin and these greens will be nuts once they dry up

Mickelson might do something special here if he does not tire after 36 holes today

No Canadians in the field

Mcllroy +7 after first 18 looks like he is done

fowler +6

Day +4

Dustin Johnson once again in the middle of a controversial penalty call. And the USGA will only decide if it is a penalty after his round. Either call or don't (should not in my view) but make your ruling while the game play is live.

Congrats to Dustin Johnson for winning his first "Major". Long overdue.

Special kudos for keeping it together despite the uncertainty about the potential penalty call. Surely there's a better way than the USGA was handling it!

Fox has to have the most boring coverage in history.

Joe Buck, Paul Azinger and Brad Faxon are, dull, dull, dull. Nothing witty, nothing entertaining. Compare to guys like Feherty, Gary McCord, Gary Koch, Johnny Miller etc. Even if you do not agree with them at least they are thought provoking.

Congrats to DJ.

I only caught the back nine and I found the coverage to be lacking. The American networks tend to focus on the American stars and it was awkward in this case because the final 2 some was out of contention over the last few holes making things very anti climatic. And poor Lee Westwood barely got a mention.

Nice to see Paulina though - that was quite a 'Look at me' outfit that she had on.

Most drama in the entire tournament was wondering if she'd show her cheeks while climbing the steps to the clubhouse.

Some of the pros comments on twitter

They rule no penalty then change their minds ?

Moved a fraction of an inch on super fast greens sloppier than Mt Everest?

He should of refused to make another shot until decision is made

Ball moved backwards ?

Lee Westwood shot a 43 on the front nine, and was 8 or 9 shots out of the lead. How much back nine air time do you want to give him.

Fox in 2 years, despite the average level of its broadcasters , has the best coverage of golf IMO. And the only reason is the shot view. For some reason CBS, nbc, and Espn, thinks we should love seeing a ball fly through the air against the blue sky with no idea if it is drawing or fading or if it is in line.

To me that is a clear advantage that fox brings to the table that I am sure others will slowly bring in. Although this technology may not work quite as well on a parkland course, i am sure they will find a way to present that shot view as well.

I thought the announcers were ok. Azinger and Strange are decent additions but buck has to go. I wonder who Espn will use for the British open now that Tirico, Azinger and Strange are all gone.
