Gee, locking up and feeding junk to a population already rife with health issues was a really bad idea.

Let's do some math.

Closing in on 500,000 deaths. 330M lose an average of one year of life=330M man years lost. That means the average years lost per covid death is 667.

I know a lot of the righties/amigos hate me because of my stance on this topic but I also always claim to look at things objectively and not always be beholden to which side of the political spectrum I relate to. Unless my math is wrong or I am missing some incredibly large factor, these numbers do not make sense. Gotta call it like I see it.

Maybe they are guesstimating how many years of life will be lost by people who got covid and survived but the toll to the body will be seen later on. But it cannot possible be based on the 500,000 that have actually died.

You’re the one that always makes it right versus left. The reality is that it’s bullshit.

I don't think they are saying that the life expectancy effect will be permanent, so your future projected 330M years lost isn't really relatable to the number of covid deaths in the single year.

If it is already down by 1 year, then it isn't a projection. If they are trying to factor in years lost in the future of those who had it and survived, that would be a projection.

But we don't know how they arrived at that number.

edit: Ok, it is completely a projection.
Life expectancy is a statistical measure of the average time a baby born today is expected to live. From January through June of last year, that was 77.8 years for the entire U.S. population, down from 78.8 years in 2019. It's the lowest level since 2006, the report said.
