The rate of infection is the determining factor of who was prepared and who wasn't. Once you get it there are a variety of factors as to whether you die or not. Previous health, age, underlying conditions. The U.S will have more die because Canadians are much healthier than Americans. They are one of the few countries where their life expectancy is going lower where as most countries are going higher. Now if you want to compare the rate of infections as it pertains to being prepared this is fair.
