Assuming these are genuine, Rotterdam has been the scene of numerous right wing riots with large amounts of property damage. Just because you get a few thousand goons to agree with you, doesn't mean you're right.

He definitely exagerated being injured but he did not fake the truck driving into him. Driver should absolutely be charged regardless of the guy's performance after the fact.
That's largely because like here in Canada, most don't understand the nuances of what covid responses are federal and which are state/provincial. Easier for the uninformed to blame the head guy.
