My employer "pretend" that I was suppose to get that much, then I said " Cmon, I've been working here over a year now. Don't pretend you don't know." He had nothing to say.

Well then he's a bad boss and you're better off without him. Good luck in your job search and congrats on having a baby on the way. (although I think you can take the "maybe" out of "A baby is on its way so maybe need more money."
