I gather defeat means Russian withdrawal from Ukraine territories anywhere
between a few months to a few years from now.

I actually believe if Putin had some sense he would offer a complete withdrawal on the condition he's allowed to keep Crimea with assurances of no further illegal invasions because you know it is an illegal invasion of a sovereign country, right?

I suspect the Ukrainians would accept this but Putin is a greedy, delusional POS so I'm not betting on it happening.

It would be political suicide for Putin to abandon the Russian (speaking) people in the Donbass.

Sjeeezz man, you are a bit high strung. I was just trying to help you.
Who here reads every single post in the political forum?

Who reads first before commenting on what was written?

People interesting in meaningful dialogue and exchange of ideas maybe?

Maybe those who just feel the need to post think they already know everything and look for a single word to pipe up. You know, that guy at the party and family get togethers that everyone dreads entering the conversation. And then start making excuses to go grab some more of Aunt Inga's delicious fermented shark!

My dad used to say to put your brain in gear before you put your mouth in motion. Wise man!

why man, WHY?

Actually, hide, one of these Kremlin supporters is going to have you sent off to Putin to use as a secret weapon!!!

My father was i nthe acute care ward of the hospital very recently. Nobody looked like that. It was the biggest lie since the never ending story ended, or how IP Man isn't about a guy who works with Internet protocol, or how Iron Man isn't about triathletes... so many lies.

Maybe by birth.

But seems he has evolved into a Dutchman! Talk, talk, talk. Listens/reads only enough to find a single word he can use to launch off on what a Dutchman does best, talking without listening.
Sounds like much like Austen Powers, there are two things you hate, racial intolerance and the Dutch. ;)

I disagree. Your angles are pretty much always right.

Maybe your wife thinks otherwise on household matters?
Alas I have no wife, for I am not Acute. My gut gets in the way and lack of flexibility.

Wow. You skooled him so precisely. Yet he won't learn a thing from it. "it is like arguing that what Bill Cosby did was OK because Paul Bernardo"
I think about people that make decisions that affect our lives. The doctors who make advancements in curing diseases. The engineer that designs skyscrapers. The guy that maps out a plane's flight path. I think about how those people are out there everyday, Making a difference, leading big lives, And how they refuse to be intimidated by the tremendous odds of failure they face; And how they only concern themselves with peers and company that apply to their goals and noble causes.
I think about all that, and I cry. Because I have nothing better to do than engage in pointless arguments on terb.

Where do you gather" these definitions anyways? Or are you trying to do a poor imitation of Tucker Carlson's 'questions'?

Russia has already defeated itself.

It's foolish sense of superiority, grandiosity and perceived aggrievement (How do you say Karen in Russian?) that led to its invading their neighbour, has cratered its economy, decimated a generation or two of their smartest, most industrious men (those that fled and those that have been killed and/or maimed) absolutely created a well deserved reputation of Russia and Russians as being untrustworthy, lying, bullies and brutal savages.

When will Ukraine win?

It already has.

There is no more respected leader and people in this decade than the brave Ukrainians who not only fought off what everyone thought was an unbeatable 3 day military invasion, but they also united the civilized world.

Will they lose territory? I think so. Will there be peace? Only, and only if Russia continues to neuter itself. If Russia retreats to the post 2014 borders and tries a ceasefire in the hopes of fighting another day, nope. The Ukrainians will keep pounding the fuck out of them with the civilized world sending them all the ammo they need!

Putin already swallowed his own dose of Novichok. It's just that it's a delayed release formulation. He is a dead man walking.

When more of the apprachtik start realizing that Putin fucked Russia by going into this war and Putin increases Window Cleaning services against those he feels threated by, someone is going to finally say, "not me next!"

Even a hard Soviet type is going to turn on him and use him as a scapegoat and bounty to get out of some sanctions etc. so the Russian corruption machine can get back in gear. I ahve a weird feeling that Putin will indeed end up in The Hague. Delivered there in a Russian government aircraft.

Taken from Collage Humour's realistic grad school ad.

Spending 10 yearins studying 4 lines from a 600 year old poem. In the real world, that would be called a mental illness.

When TrueDooh promises eternal support for Ukraine, I wonder what would happen if Pierre Poulet becomes the HNIC. It could happen, he seems to be the sort willing to sell out Ukraine and his base seems to be the sort to lean on that side. I am not saying he personally supports that position but meh, politics. If you want leaders to actually follow their convictions then they should be selected via a farcical aquatic ceremony.

To a point, yes.

Koreans are less informed , more intelligent, and submissive than Russkies. There are a LOT of nasty Russian fuckers in the power structure of Russia that would love to take over if, and when they see the opportunity. Not the dumb everyday compliant Igors and Natashas, they are never going to have a voice in Russia. I'm talking guys like Prighozin, Russian mafia/politician types.

I’m pretty sure there’s too many previous generations of Ukrainians in Canada who are fairly conservative and PP cannot afford to lose them
