Actually that's a critical piece of information. The "not at all Westernized" is the very reason Westerners go overseas and experience great success with non-Western women.
This (the social life money) is the reason, not the tuition or cost pf living. Tuition in Canada is low, students from low-income families can easily take a loan, working part-time is doable. But not for a social life. Same reason as for regular SPs: Walmart jobs are always available, noone in Canada starves or live on the street unless it is their choice (or a result of a mental illness or addiction).
