How sad is heavyweight boxing? Too many belts, too many titles, too much corruption and not enough incentive for people to get involved anymore. Now it’s all UFC that has taken over. Sometimes I wish I was alive and able to digest being a boxing fan in the 70s leading into the 80s and then of course the 80s leading into the 90s. The heavyweight boxing division is so pathetic that our attention is literally captured by this fight. Will someone please unify these titles and just keep it under one federation and one ranking system? not the ultimate solution, but at least it would be a good start to fixing what’s wrong with boxing.

The entire fight was just a set up for the next one. Paul even called Tyson the "GOAT" after. Which is a total joke as Tyson never lived up close to his hype.

Lennox Lewis's early professional losses were due to hubris and under-developed legs. Once he added muscle to them, he never lost another fight.

When LL Faced Mike Tyson, I actually felt sorry for Iron Mike.

Rogan at his best.

What did he do to develop his legs?
(He asks looking at his own chicken legs which don't respond to anything)

Boxing is certainly at a low. At least I am just about old enough to remember boxing in the 80s and 90s when I started to get into it.

These days there are 19 weight classes with 4 major sanctioning bodies (WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO) and there's even more of them too (IBO, WBF, IBC etc.) but no one counts those. You'd think they'd be a maximum of 76 different people across the weight classes that can call themselves a World Champion of a recognized sanctioning body but the number is actually higher - WBA calls their Champion the 'Super Champion', what we'd previously known as the number 1 contender is now the 'regular world champion' and what was previously known as the number 2 contender is now the 'Interim World Champion'!! I can't remember but the WBC and WBO probably does that same crap. But with all of that the number of supposed World Championships is probably closer to 100 LOL

All the drug scandals in the sport are pretty much brushed under the carpet...they like to call them 'adverse findings' as the technical term. All the big names in recent years have been caught with PEDs in their system and forgiven or forgotten - Tyson Fury, Canelo Alverez, Billy Joe Saunders, Dillian Whyte, Luis Otiz, Jerome Miller, Connor Benn etc. Most of the top fighters want to protect their records instead of fighting the best.

There's a couple of fighters I like to follow like Usyk, Crawford, Inoe and Bivol but for the most part I'm fed up of the scene now and otherwise just watch stuff from 70s, 80s and 90s....and don't get me started about the corrupt judges!

Jake would have been a 'fluffer' fight just to warm Mike up. Truth be told I haven't seen a single one a JP's fights that didn't look staged. It feels like he is a muse who's sole purpose is to reinvigorate the sport of boxing and in that capacity he's been successful.
Jake "fluffer" Paul, good one. 😅
The sole purpose is to turn a legit sport into a joke and he's doing that by bringing in the "new age of fans", his youtube followers from a decade ago.

In the 90s, I was proud to say baseball and boxing were my two favorite sports. I was an encyclopedia on boxing and the history of boxing. Absolutely loved boxing big time. Going to the bar and watching the Tyson fight, after he got out of prison was a real memorable treat that I will never forget. But now boxing has fallen apart so much that I don’t know anything about boxing for the past 20+ years . Ever since Lewis versus Tyson, I am very lost on the entire sport. For me too many titles and too many federations have made me lose interest.

Lennox Lewis was asked if he would box Jake Paul, he said give me $100 million and I'll do it. Paul's fight are rigged, even at 58 LL would destroy him.

It would look something like this: A street bully challenges a boxing coach who recently had hip replacement surgery.

LL represented Canada at the 84 LA Olympics, Willie DeWitt got all the attention. He was 18 years old and lost to American Tyrell Biggs in the quarterfinals.

Yes, this is my second posting of that clip. LL keeps himself lucid by playing chess, also tennis has replaced boxing. The dude gets my utmost respect.

And has a large portion of his earnings, worth about $140 million from a search. Tyson was at $8 million before this WWE fight with Joke Paul.
