Hey everyone. What are your thoughts on using Twitter or email for enquiring about services and booking?
I recently had a dummy email account shut down by the company (mail.com). I had used this account for communicating with providers in the past. I haven't used this account for months maybe years to send email but stupid me didn't delete all the emails sent and received in the past. When I tried to login recently I saw a message that my email account was locked and to contact customer service. When I emailed CS they replied back that my account was closed due to wrongful activity. They wouldn't say what was exactly wrongful but I assume it was emailing SPs. I didn't think they would go through my emails but I guess I was mistaken. Now I'm kinda concerned if they would report my IP and email ID to LE just for emailing SPs. My suggestion is if you use mail.com or any of it's affiliate email accounts for emailing SP/MA then delete all your sent and received emails. They don't value your privacy.
Twitter has also gone nuts after the wacko Elon took over. In his plan to rid the site of bot accounts he has made it tougher to use the site. One can't even DM another user unless they follow each other or you're verified using a real phone number. Can't use text app numbers to verify. I wonder if the DMs are even private and if their mods can shut your account for something they deem wrongful. Maybe even report your IP and ID to LE for communicating with providers.
Maybe I'm being paranoid but I wish there was a better, safer and more anonymous app for this industry. An app that you could trust with your privacy.
I think for emails, protonmail is safer than most since it's servers are located in Switzerland and they value your privacy and security.
So what are your thoughts on using email and twitter for this industry and any recommendations for an app which is SW and client friendly.
