So, I'm far from the only one who thought the mandrill post was elitist. Another member said it was pretentious. Anyway, I don't want to be too hard on mandrill. Unlike another hardcore leftie/wokie, he does make sense sometimes and at least 2 of my posts got a thumb up from him and he doesn't post pics of little children and/or Captain Obvious and/or Turtle Boy..

Tipping the Velvet maybe?
I still recall thinking it was strange watching a lesbian coming of age historical drama on a public TV station

It was an educational series. One subject covered was the fear of some men about being insufficiently endowed. The host of the show made the point that from the point of view of a man looking down at himself things look smaller than they actually are. From the point of view of a woman standing in front of him, it looks positively enormous!
