While I loved the original show, the original cast is all way too old and the heart and soul of the show - John Candy is no longer with us. (Sadly.)Sctv.
Columbo! How could you forget Columbo? Peter Falk is great, the shambling slob shtick is great, the criminals always underestimating him is great. 'tis all great!I loved a lot of the detective shows from the seventies. Rockford Files is my all time fab. show. I also loved Cannon, Barnaby Jones, Streets of San Francisco, Mannix, Ironsides, Hawaii Five O. plus several others.
Hawaii Five-O isn't an exception. Most TV shows from the past had a good run and were past their "sell" date by the time they were cancelled, so I'm not all that eager to see any of them brought back. Besides, with the possible exception of Hawaii Five-O and V, how many recent attempts at reviving old shows were really any good? For example, anyone remember (or want to remember) the revived attempts at Bionic Woman? Knight Rider? Charlie's Angels?
yessssss!a new 'land of the giants" with today's cgi would be pretty good imo.
I tried watching an episode of Get Smart a couple of weeks ago, The humour was dumb and outdated and the laugh-track is painfully obtrusive. There's enough silliness in NCIS: Los Angeles.Get smart
