Trudeau has done a great job in steering the economy, if the jobs figures achieved are the best in 40 years. Even the TSX has hit a record high in April:

The TSX increased 2266 points or 15.80% since the beginning of 2019, according to trading on a contract for difference (CFD) that tracks this benchmark index from Canada. Historically, the Canada S&P/TSX Toronto Stock Market Index reached an all time high of 16669.40 in April of 2019 and a record low of 217.50 in February of 1950:

The TSX is riding on the coattail of the U.S. economy which grew 3.2% (ours grew only 1.2%). We could do so much better, but not under Trudeau.

The TSX closed at 15287 on Dec 30/2016. It has been basically flat for the past 2 years. I can't think of anything that Trudeau has done that would have a positive influence on the stock market, other than the legalization of marijuana which has boosted the pot stocks. However this has nothing to do with real economic growth.

You know things are going bad for Trudeau if one of his few fans on this board can't come up with anything better to boast about.
I first thought he was taking a shot at the Trumptards who try to credit Trump for the US stock markets rise.

Next you'll blame Trudeau for Trump being an asshole with his steel tariffs, and for putting us in the middle of the US and China over Huawei

No Trudeau is quite capable of being asshole by himself. Did see in his 5 minute photo-op filling a couple of sandbags on the Ottawa river? What a tool.

As usual the Trumptards will praise that individual down south for any minuscule occurrence, but the facts never seem to jive with them when they relate to Trudeau!!

In 2016, the economy grew by 1.4 per cent. The economy got hot and grew by three per cent in 2017, and is expected to finish 2018 with further growth of around two per cent.

An analysis of Statistics Canada jobs data shows about 792,000 jobs have been created in Canada since the Liberals took office. Almost 690,000 of those jobs have been full-time, and the remaining 102,000 part-time.

The unemployment rate has dropped from seven per cent when the Liberals took office to 5.6 per cent, the lowest mark since comparable data first became available in 1976. The country registered a 5.4 per cent unemployment rate in 1974 under the previous statistical approach.

The return on U.S. equities since Trump became president is much greater than 22% in less time. Plus, the U.S. cut taxes.
48% return and he’s been in office a year less.....

So would you guys prefer a stronger stock market and 70-80B deficit? That is what applying Trumps formula to Canada would look like.

As opposed to Doug Ford's amazing 5 minute photo op filling sandbags in Ottawa?
I think Trudeau brought the entire family including his beautiful wife and all three kids. I doubt the kids really did much sandbagging but they are super cute.

Trudeau is actually shoveling sand into bags.
The locals are saying that Trudeau and his security detail and media actually slowed down the process. Clogged up the roads, etc.

BTW: If anybody has a cottage in cottage country do not go for a visit unless you can actually help in flood relief. Also, do not organize any "sight seeing" tours to the flooded areas.

Locals did not say that. Just one individual did so. But Trudeau lending a hand should be commended. Of course the right wing media have an agenda to try and distort everything that the PM has a hand in.
