The wonderful thing here is Biden will not need to do much to beat any of the R contenders, including the Orange Stain. He already knows there are people he can never reach, but they will always be in the minority because they are racist fuckwits. Although Biden says that we are "all Americans", he knows that there are some Americans who are so brainwashed and so conspiracy-minded that they just don't matter. These people will likely die of from overdoses of ivermectin or bleach or dirt or some other wonder-drug endorsed by Dr. Oz in order to avoid getting a needle because they are actually scared but won't admit it.
I think Trump is the only Republican contender Biden can beat. If Biden doesn't run, then the Democrats have to decide who their leader is. Can the Dems win with a progressive leader?
I don't think Biden will be able to beat anybody in 2024. He is already limited to short, prepared statements. How would he be able to perform in a debate?
With preparation and perhaps a drug for focus (Idk), Biden will do okay, but just okay. On stage with a rambling undisciplined Trump, he would look fine.
I would suggest that the lack of policy platforms and the concentration on "wokeness" by both Fox and the GOP makes it difficult for the other networks to provide positive coverage on the Republican party and its leaders.

The then AG and the MAGA crowd in Congress have been running interference for the stable genius for years and continue to do so. Why any sensible person does not see this as abusive is completely beyond me. The chosen one is as close as the US has ever come to having a king. The Russian bots and hackers will be out in full force because Putin understands that the road to Kiev runs right through a trump WH and the former only twice impeached POTUS in hsiory knows that with the election comes the pardon power. All stops will be out. His employees in the congress have already started the effort and I expect that to ramp up. As well before the election begins if he is the nominee Fox will fall back into line.
