I’m sure you were very supportive of Trump’s military achievements. I think Trump killed a bunch of Russians in Syria. Killed a Iranian bigtime terrorist.

If it was just Trump and not a bunch of the GOP and their mouthpieces, no one would care other than to laugh. Praising Putin and pretending it's all Biden's fault is all we get from that faction.

They have not yest disengaged access to the SWIFT because the calculation is that if they do it will push Russia toward the Chines alterative. Regrettably many issues are complicated and they require complex thought. and analysis. With the exception of the apologists for the former inhabitant most knowledgeable people are giving Joe high marks for his handling of the issue so far.
'fall' falls firmly in the armageddon school of thought geopolitical, geothermal/military school of thought.

"drop in the 82nd airborne", take a Nyquil, then go to bed and .... poof, Russia is vanquished.

Not particularly. Killing Russians in Syria doesn't make any impact. Taking out that Iranian terrorist was good but he almost fucked that up too.

But I noticed you aren't willing to comment on Trump's pro-Putin statements.

Because Trump is trolling you liberals. Can you think of any concrete real world advantage that Trump might get by ‘praising Putin’. It’s idiotic. Liberals heads explode when Trump is ‘Praising Putin’ and CNN has been running with this for six fucking years to bash trump. I roll my eyes at certain keywords that are written by CNN, repeated 1 billion times, and then you see posters online parrotting it. Are people really that easy to brainwash? It’s scary 🧟‍♂️

Trump and republicans got help from Putin and are hoping to get more help from Putin. It has nothing to do with liberals.

Yes, and, as expected, the best course of action for the U.S. is strongly condemn, virtue signal through sanctions, and sell Ukraine. Like they did when Putin annexed Crimea 8 years ago.

Putin had his man in the Whitehouse. And yet US congress passed sanctions 98-2 so djt had to sign it. Thus putin likely felt controlling the presidency outweighed risking pissing off the rest of the USA by moving on Ukraine. But once his boy djt was out, he likely felt Biden weak (based on Crimea whilst biden was vp plus the Afghanistan withdrawal, plus putin's disinformation network was working well in the US media) thus calculated it was time to move.

And all this "ethnic Russians being killed" was bs. Hitler did the same thing to justify moving on Poland.
Putin waited until his lackey was out to invade. The timing is telling. He didn't invade close to the election because Americans will vote for the president at times of war. He is desperately trying to get his guy reelected in 2024. I can't belive that some Americans choose putin over their own country

I asked jc the question and he didn't answer. How 'should' Biden have handled this?
I answer the question, several times: total economic and social blockade of Russia. What Biden is doing now is lipstick on a pig.

Curious what the strength crowd suggests Biden do? If he commits troops the Fox et al crowd will condemn him (they spent the week blathering on about "why should I care about Ukraine? Why risk anything? Etc"). Now by not risking troops he's weak doing nothing. So whatever Biden does it is wrong according to that crowd.

So I ask the question again: what is the right move?

He didn't commit any troops. He moved some troops within NATO. It has ZERO to do with anything.

Sorry I meant to say hypothetical "If he commits troops...". I've corrected the original...

And he can't really wear the "peacemaker" moniker since his forces are actively attacking the rest of Ukraine as well.
As if anybody really buys off on that fig leaf. Even those that say they do are intentionally lying, some under orders, some with other agendas and/or side hustles.

At most, he might - and there seems to be a surprising amount of internal resistance within Russia to this move - be trying to create an internal political reason for the action he's taken to try to shut down dissent.
Can't have that here, we need to watch Tucker and the whole pack of Fux News fools for our own good, I guess:rolleyes:

But while international law is a kind of amorphous thing, it's hard to argue that he's done "everything according to the law."
It's why the Donald fairly worships the ground he walks on. His approach is "I am the law, so screw you" So far he's mainly getting away with it, so it isn't all tapes....

Unleash the proud boys and the various militias. Mobilize them and airlift them over. They want to shoot at somebody really bad, right? I mean, what could it hurt?? Show them pictures of Russian generals darkened with photoshop for additional motivation👌
Give KR is own brigade...

He's not smart enough to troll liberals. And if he ever was smart enough, he's also pretty fucking senile at this point.
