Absolutely true that Trump will conn his base into believing that he has a chance of winning his cases. Now he knows that he will lose in the lower courts, but will be determined to take it to the Supreme Court in the belief that his Supreme Court appointees now owe him the favours for their appointments. That said he will end up with millions to fill his own pocket on the backs of his minimal wages base. That is his primary aim!!

The judges despise him and dgaf about his stupid case. He won't get leave to appeal to the USSC.

I see the leftist morons are wearing their palms out over this non story,,,,,,,,
Why is it a non-story? These are huge corporations that enormous amounts of communication pass through and info is disseminated. What they allow or not allow is a very big story (and not just because it involves The One Whose Name Shall Not Be Uttered).

I believe that Congress has already had hearings regarding this matter. They obviously consider it a significant issue.

It's a non story because it's stupid and it can't win, because the whole legal theory is ludicrous and assinine. It's like me suing Fred Zed because I don't like the moderating on the board and claiming Fred Zed is part of the Canadian government.

The "story" part is that a former president actually wallows at such a level of stupidity and grifting to run a silly, no-win case and fund raise on it.

This is the "Kraken" bullshit lawsuits from last fall all over again.

Trump was always famous for suing various little guys that he wanted to fuck over (like various contractors who did work on his various buildings whom he didn't want to pay) and just people that crossed paths with him. He was notorious for suing people and using the shear cost of fighting back in court to bully people. And that little prick Michael Cohen (alumni of the Earl Scheib School of Law) was the guy who did it all for him.

Thing is, google and Facebook and Twitter all have far deeper pockets than the orange loaf is used to going after. Hopefully they teach him a lesson this time. Mind you, he will just spin that like he did the election loss to Biden.

Spot on. Trump averaged something like 2 lawsuits per week over the past 40 years. Quite remarkable.

I think you're wrong, it's not stupid. Just manipulative. His intention isn't to win, it's to rile up his base. He's going to get them to fund his own propaganda piece, and frame his own narrative about how big tech and the courts are out to get him, then use that as a springboard to push his own agenda, be that making a run at 2024, or simply keeping himself in the limelight. Trump is so readable, that it makes you question how everyone doesn't see his actions for the manipulation they are. You could just say those people are gullible, but I think it's bigger than that. I think the right is just so fed up with the lunacy of the far-left that they're vulnerable to anyone who verbally recognizes it. I don't take the blame off them for falling for the manipulation, but it's a bigger picture than just saying his followers are gullible, stupid, uneducated, or racist.

The stupid is that his base actually falls for it. Anyone with a shred of sense and even basic legal knowledge could see that the lawsuit is silly. And it follows many other silly lawsuits last fall about "stop the steal", all of which were slapped down by the courts.

But the base - including dudes like Dutch, Kirk D and probably Oracle as well - absorbs the Groupthink and ends up buying in.

Says the guy whose last significant post on this board was about a trans PH D student who wrote a thesis stating that attributing gender to dogs and cats is politically incorrect.

Only going after the really big stories here!

But that's just part of the Big Lie. Most Dem voters just want sane, competent government that's somewhat more socially conscious - i.e. government funded health care, abolition of all cannabis laws, etc.

Most Dem voters think most "woke" theory is bullshit and want little to do with it. The two parties grift off the other side's lunacy. My current Twitter feed - which is pro Dem - is endless Boebert, MTG and QAnon and little else. Faced with that parade of idiocy, ANYONE would end up voting Dem. I assume that people with a pro GOP Twitter feed get endless "Defund the Police" nonsense and shit about Hunter Biden.

Our boy Oracle is a prime example. He spends hours a day on Far Right "information" sites locating pearls like the PH D student who thinks that it's wrong to have male dogs and female dogs because dogs are - surprisingly - now gender fluid. Then he posts on this board and calls the "Lefties" out on it, apparently oblivious to the fact that the left of centre guys on this board think that shit is ludicrous as well.

I'm no QC, but I hope they don't move for dismissal and instead depose DJT, tout suite.
