You are forgetting the much easier method - have the Supreme Court re-interpret the Constitution in a way that you prefer.
A lower court judge already opened the question of whether or not the 22nd amendment really means two total or two consecutive, so they can always change the constitution that way if they really want to avoid the whole pesky amendment thing.

I am not saying I'm 100% sure that Trump's going to find some excuse to suspend the constitution, but I would also not be shocked if he did. I am not one to buy into conspiracy theories, but when you see the moves he's making, from releasing the J6 scumbags (and giving him violent supporters in the field) to weakening any guardrails that keep his power in check....That is worrisome.

If you weaken everything enough then the Constitution is just words on paper.
But like I said, I anticipate a lot more of the Constitution to be changed via "creative interpretation" than through forcibly suspending it or overturning it.
