Second, perhaps the teachers have been thru this numerous times and after all is said and done, the behaviour persists.
It’s my understanding that the tribunal didn’t rule that cuffing the kid was the wrong course of action but that they did it only because of the race of the child.
Look, what I really object to is to the abdication of responsibility and the lack of maturity. The parent(s) passed the buck to the teachers and the teachers admitted to their lack of professionalism by dialing 911. When the primary caretaker fails and the people specifically trained to resolve these conflicts(teachers) give up, what the hell did they think the cops were going to do? Police are completely untrained to deal with those kind of situations. The cops have only one reaction to a physical opposition- force. None of those presumably educated and intelligent individuals could predict the outcome??? The cops get the blame, but the real culprit is the school "professionals" who clearly slept through the early childhood psychology lectures.
