I haven't seen anyone arguing for such a ban. Co-ed competition has always been a thing, however there should definitely be boys-only and girls-only competitions.

Boys and girls are fundamentally different mentally & physically, and the culture created in boys-only competition reflects that.
Interesting. In one sentence you claim to have no issue with prepubescent boys and girls competing against each other and in the next claim that despite the actual science boys have an unfair advantage.

Different doesn't mean advantage.

In fact, girls mature physically faster than boys so they would have the physical advantage.

Come clean, you've never played sport competitively. Just like your [lack of] knowledge about firearms, your take on sport comes from a place of not knowing.

Women on average might lag behind in terms of weight they can carry and ability in hand to hand combat against larger opponents but I'm not aware on a lack of endurance, decision making, or the ability to pull a trigger.
The vast majority of women in the draft age demographic are not fit for combat duty. This is a size issue for many; they are either too large or too small to be useful in close combat. There are, of course exceptions, and there are also many positions in the military which don't require demonstrative fighting skills after boot camp. Drafting women specifically for the purpose of combat sounds like a desperation move in a war certain to end in defeat, not because the women are fighting, but because there weren't enough able-bodied males to conscript.

As I said, carrying capacity and hand to hand combat are a weakness. But if you talk to soldiers who have deployed to combat zones, ask how many of them have engaged in hand to hand with the enemy? For that matter, how many have had to even fire a weapon in combat. In the case that a draft was needed, women soldiers would mean twice as many fingers to pull triggers.

So you agree that despite the outrage in the christian identity community, there is no harm in prepubescent boys playing alongside girls, no matter their gender identity.

As far as I know, everyone is fine with children playing with other children regardless of their sex. What environment is a child in where they think about "gender identity"? I'm not even sure what that means, and I'm grown.

What Christian identity community has a problem with kids being kids?

Just the first example I googled.

From what I've seen, these bans on trans athletes apply to all age levels. As I mentioned before, I'm not against regulations; I just expect them to be based on evidence and not on ridiculous fear campaigns.
