Traffic is influencing my behavior

There was a day when I would not factor in traffic when selecting a lady. I've skipped across the 905 including Newmarket, flew in to the Airport, skipping across in to Etobicoke, which then became Downsview...The Village, Greek town, Cork town... Scarborough. I have made requests for a specific timeslot to avoid traffic. Otherwise, no.

Now, I refuse to cross in to the lower half of the city because of the bridge work. 401 may be ok for off-off hours which doesn't work with the homefront. All the road closures, such as the Bloor/St George and residual TTC diversions makes navigation a real pain. And the the event specific closures.

As a result, I play in Markham, York, Airport and Etobicoke and a rare trip to the 'Saug.

Gents, have you fallen in to the same trap?

And ladies, do you factor traffic when selecting Incall locations?

I work out of my condo (Parklawn & Lakeshore) and the Gardiner and the Cirque du Soleil made my life a bit complicated over the summer but I think it is still possible to work around it. I could not really factor that unfortunately.

I decided to offer more unconventional business hours to help. Otherwise I am low volume so if the guys is 30 min late it's not the end of the world.

There are also alternatives to car since I live 6km away from dt. Bike, Go train + bike, Go train + walk (1km). It's nice during the summer.

Yep, it has definitely changed my attitude. I don’t even bother looking into any ads that state the location is in the west end now.

I tried to adventurous and booked an SP who lives in Mississauga. What was once a 30 min or so drive from east to west turned out to be almost an hour and 30 mins due to congestion, a car accident and construction. Google maps estimated arrival time turned out to be way off. The SP got upset with me and canceled my appointment. Nothing I could have done.

There is a SP the is located in the Oakville/Mississauga area that I want to visit but I don’t really want to go through all the trouble to get there. Plus the only other option is plan something else in the area but I don’t want to really spend the whole there unless there is a fun bar to hang out in.

Not too long ago I would happily drive out to other places and back. Now it’s a journey

I genuinely hate Toronto traffic I always try to schedule my shifts where there’s always the LEAST amount of traffic or I go ahead and just take the 407 if I need to go to the Markham or Brampton location

Before the covid I once set up a meeting on Younge and 401 ish. I was in Hamilton. I had my Tally Ho [I live hours on the wrong side of TO so it's a treat] I was going to fart around but figure, fuck it and headed out. I figure an hour was fine, but meh 2 hours I could always cool my heels and wait there instead of in the Hammer.
I didn't know they had closed the Gardner down for yearly maintenance/cleaning whatever]
I needed the full 2 hours, made it just barely on time, I've never been late before [or since] but it is a good thing I took an extra hour.

As I had to pass through Toronto to get home and I very very rarely hobby, an hour or 2 to get somewhere isn't much, it's an expensive treat. But if I lived in Toronto and went a bouncy bouncy on a regular basis it would drive me nuts.
If I ever did win that 70 mil I'd love to move to TO for the hobby scene but with traffic as it is, and parking in the downtown, I donno.

I currently live in a 15 minute city, to get from one end where I live to the furthest place I need to go is about 12 minutes, a theater and that doesn't happen much, usually it's a 10 minute drive, if I avoid rush minute. Yes I said minute. Pretty nice. Sure for anything major, foreign films, hobby, university library it's an hour out of town but the 15 minute city concept isn't meant for EVERYTHING to be within 15 minutes, that just isn't doable unless you want density that makes the Kowloon Walled City seem rural. I utterly hate traffic.

Ya agencies don't like to host DT anymore because of the high cost of hotels and rent and probably traffic. I think SFT, Mirage, Hush, still have DT locations though. But my go-to agency HPL doesn't have DT locations anymore.

I'm pretty sure that WAZE would be more accurate re: your ETA. Other Wazers are giving lots of updates on current conditions.

i seem to constantly have bad luck with WAZE where this was the rare times google maps has given me trouble. I don’t know if it’s the locations that I use but WAZE tends give me long complicated routes when there is a simple faster way which Google maps gives me. Funny that both of them are owned by the same company.

I never book downtown anymore. Mainly use agencies close to 407 or the west end. My hobbying expenses have definitely gone down. Traffic is a huge issue in all aspects of life. I tend to go out less and am therefore saving a ton.

I went to yorkville on the weekend. Traffic was an issue. Tons of sugarbabies and or escorts at the restauarants like one and dbar.

I work downtown as do the escorts I see, and I'll travel downtown days I'm not working. I'm lucky as they tend to be close to transit and I can take GO or TTC pretty easily.

Years ago I would go into Etobicoke or Mississauga, from Durham, any time I felt like it. Heck, on Saturday mornings I would never encounter even a slowdown. Now I would never dream of doing such a thing--the traffic seems to be insane 24/7.

I'm not booking if the location is not within 5 minutes of a TTC station. Toronto means Toronto.

At a SP near me
I’m in the west end and can’t bring myself to drive anywhere east of the 427. Used to go to Flirt or Muse a lot but not anymore. Glad there are several agencies with locations in Mississauga and more recently Oakville.

I did complain about my Garmin lifetime maps in the tech forum . 2 years ago it would give me traffic reports. Now it doesn't even if the traffic option is on. Garmin turned it off.
It seems all maps don't give true reading about traffic. I hate it.
I live outside Hamilton. QEW between Toronto and Niagara falls is a parking lot.

I used to hit the strip clubs in the summer in NF by myself or with a friend 10 years ago. After Covid I had to stop, it wasn't the cover charger or the over charges the strippers did it to me, it was the traffic in both directions is SLOW.

One time my partner wanted to leave 2 hours before the flight. We missed the flight because the ParknFike didn't drive by to pick us up, a driver called in sick was the excuse ( not my problem). Airport traffic was BAD then and we missed our flight. I had to weasel my way with ticket lady to reschedule the next day our flight. I left 3.5 hours earlier the next day. My partner complained I told her to find her own way to the airport I left at 3.5 hours. My partner came with me and we made the gate entrance by 10 minutes to spare.

After that stupidity I leave 4 hours from Outside Hamilton to get to TO airport to be safe. I tell family to take the Go bus. But when I want to have "fun" - by the airport - I offer to pick up my parents ( when they arrive at night not during the day), I see one of the agencies SP's who has someone working by the area. 2 birds with 1 trip.

Unfortunately most GO stations don't have a hotel near by. Only Oakville does but I am not sure how friendly that is.
Some agencies operate by Oakville I have to go after 5pm to avoid traffic and only Sunday to Thursday and no sports nights.
