Funny how the media who feed us the Nash dream are quick to defend Nash and all call us nuts for being disappointed .

Looks like Dragic has committed to the Suns.. With Nash going to the Lakers, I doubt the Knicks let Lin go to Houston (and them trading away Lowry). So that could just about end it for the Raptors getting a new starting PG this offseason unless they hand the keys to Bayless and see if he can stay healthy.

What are the Suns doing ? Looks like they are building a 10th place team .

And his "wife" changed her mind
Also children .. He has children from previous marriage and ex wife's usually aren't cooperative and are n't supportive in taking kids across the country

Also as for our GM that some want fired , and who has been executive of the year more then oce , isn't he a victim as much as the fans . He being a GM in a city who has to convince players to stay or come must be frustrated and thinking how easy his job would be if he was a GM in a another City . Let's not forget he did get Nash when he was a GM in a different city . Also this all or nothing mandate to get Nash could have been motivated by the owners . Maybe plan B was his plan .

You can make excuses all you want, but bottom line is his record in 6 years as GM is 200 wins, 270 losses. Averaging more than 10 games below .500 each year! He had success in Phoenix but he was working with his father there. Maybe his father would have talked him out of all the bad moves (Triano, Kapono, O'Neal, Turkoglu, Kleiza etc) and got him to lay out a plan and stick to it.

Also, Nash chooses to live in NY in the off season, so I don't see how your children comment holds much water, no more than the wife that doesn't exist.

You cannot call him a victim when he is getting paid millions a year in a position where job security does not last for 6 years in general unless they produce results. Playoff game wins on one hand in 6 seasons? That's pathetic.

Raptors get their PG . Rockets Lowry . Some preferred him over Nash .
I like this pickup a lot. If we get Ilyasova we will be a much improved team. As much as I like Nash he isn't a fit here for a rebuild.

Curious to see this kid Lowry play.

As far a rebuilding goes.... Lowry, Ross maybe the guy from the Knicks (Fields just remembered) if that deal goes through, plus Jonas it will be interesting to see what we have.

You said it perfectly but can I add that this team progress will depend not only on the new guys but guys like Ed Davis , Baylsis and Demar who have to bring their game to another level.

Yup good points thing is when they talk about dvelopment I get worried as rarely do you see dramatic improvements. I think we have seen all that Demar has to offer. But I am a skeptic at heart.

I think there is enough talent on the team that they will still be mediocre. Some guys will step up one night others another night. Unfortunately, there isn't a group of guys consistantly producing night in and out like on the top or elite teams.

Even WAde for example, I was rough on him during the playoffs but his numbers were not far off from past playoff appearances...... close enough that he was still pivotal

As of now they have a team where not making the playoffs would be a disappointment, but I would lo ve it if theymanaged to trade Bargs and Calderon for an all star or borderline all star still on the upswing.

The chip of Jose expiring contract plus a young player may fetch another asset .

Somewhere
Sounds like they are going to keep Calderon as the backup as they withdrew the qualifying offer to Bayless which now makes him an unrestricted free agent.
