I have a few of thoughts swirling around my head on this....
First,
Cindy, I'm truly sorry to hear you and your girls won't be coming (as a team, anyway) to any more parties. It's a loss.
It seems to me that a great deal of what has been expressed in this thread springs from conflicting expectations.
Many male party attendees see the ladies' presence as a chance for them (the ladies) to mingle and market, which would have entailed, well, mingling with the guys. These people were anticipating that. And I would have guessed this could have the potential impact of increasing business (?).
From your response, Cindy, it appears you and your gals came to the party with a different expectation, and one no less valid. You were expecting a chance to relax, hang out with each other, have some drinks, and blow some steam off dancing. Much like going out to a club.
Fair enough, except that the two sets of expectations don't jive with each other. The guys who wanted more interaction from the 4Play ladies ended up feeling ignored or even rebuffed, and the 4Play ladies ended up feeling nagged and hit upon. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here.)
I don't know that there is a resolution to the conflict, but I sincerely hope you'll rethink your decision and try again for the Christmas party.
On a personal note, I did dance up on the stage for a while and tried to "dance in" with Anabella and Abbie, but for whatever reason, my impression was that they weren't comfortable (was it my Hugh Hefner bathrobe?) and turned away from me. If the scenario had been slightly different, and they'd danced interactively with me a little, it would have been natural for me to offer a drink and a chance to sit together and chat. I didn't spend much time in the grotto, so the only time I saw them was on the stage.
As for 'kissing the SPs', that was one poster's comment, and I very much doubt anyone else on the thread will support that expectation.
