Toronto City Hall

It was 55 years ago today when the new Toronto City Hall building opened.

It's probably the coolest futuristic looking CH building world wide, so cool it's image was in a Star Trek TNG episode and featured in many movies.

It's where I learned to ice skate back then.

Ya as a kid I was blown away to see it in star Trek. Good in Resident evil as well

There is a joke about why one tower is shorter than the other.
While City Hall was being built someone asked the architect, Viljo Revell what part of Sweden he was from. He replied, " I'm Finnish." So everybody quit work and went home.

In spite of, or maybe because of, its' simplicity it still looks modern.
