Aaron Hill hitting .392 for Arizona. Change of scenery? New hitting coach? maybe both?

Morrow lit up again for 8 ER's in 4.1 innings at the Fenway. Francisco almost blows the save when Encarnacion leads a comeback.

The Jays pitching seems to get less and less competitive.

Yes, oagre... and pitching was supposed to be their strength at the beginning of the year.

Not at all impressed by Morrow, Cecil, Drabek, Rauch, Camp, Francisco, Lewis or Mills, but they do have a core around whom to rebuild and a number of good arms with whom to do so.

Not at all impressed by Morrow, Cecil,
Not at all? Their problem is their inconsistency. They have both had extended times where, game in and game out, they had their good stuff and they were probably going to win. They just don't do it consistently yet, but they are both still young.

I've been impressed with their flashes of brilliance but we need to see more of it.

Yep! Not at all! :D

Any fool can throw a baseball and, on occasion, a good pitch.

But a professional, to be considered a professional, must be able to do so with consistency.

Old adage: "An amateur practices until s/he gets it right; a professional practices until s/he cannot get it wrong."

So let me put it this way: occasionally impressed by their skill and talents but not by their professionalism.

Morrow reminds me, more and more each day, of a certain A. J. Burnett.

Which is not to say a professional pitcher will not get beat [because that depends, also, on the professionalism of the batter], but that he will seldom beat himself.

Anyone looked at the standing lately? There are reasons why the sox and NY are in first place. They're pretty good teams who beat other teams more often than not. It's clear they're the best in the division. I can't wait for realignment.

Lind and Arcenbicia(sp) could end the season with almost identical offensive stats.

Whatever happened to the Lind who was batting .325?

If you watched him pitch earlier in the season his games were actually quite amazing to watch. Electric stuff. Having a really bad run recently. Actually, same can be said about Cecil as well...
