Perhaps there’s sugar forums to discuss about sugar dating. This is an escort board so it makes sense why they don’t want any conflicting business derailment.

I forget the exact wording, but IICR, it was something along the lines of that the SD/SB model did not align with the pay for play model that this board was founded on.
I don't see why the board needs to be aligned with a particular "model" as opposed to letting its community of members discuss a variety of topics (particularly in a general-purpose forum like the Lounge) that they find interesting.

As far as the advertising angle is concerned: there are literally sponsored links to sugar dating sites on the front page, so I don't think suppressing knowledge of this segment of the industry altogether is the goal here (or, if it is, it's rather incompletely executed).

Oh, my bad. The one thread or so per year that the topic has previously attracted must have really strained the forum's server resources
my semi-educated guess is it's not about server resources, it's about advertisement income. Why would providers want to advertise on a platform that makes it easier for hobbyists to spend their hobbying money not on providers but elsewhere.

By that logic, you could ask why we're allowed to discuss MPAs and not just SPs. (And if the answer is because MPs pay to advertise on here, note that, as I pointed out above, so do sugar dating sites.)

Or it just proves that money talks.
