I saw Savannah maybe 6 months ago or so based on the great reviews. Service was good and she was nice so I can't fault her, but there wasn't a lot of personality (as in really no talking) and service and responsiveness seemed pretty mechanical. Chemistry matters a lot to me and it just wasn't there. Conversation after the fact was actually really good so maybe a second visit would be better, I'm just not sure I want to risk it.

Can someone please riddle me this then, since TFL1 brought it up and two others have gone to town about this in another thread.
Why are guys willing to pay Toronto prices, drive all the way to Toronto but then say $200/hr is on the high side here and complain that no "real" talent is here in Durham/PTBR????
Is Durham ever going to get out of the mentality it is in? You want local girls who still stay and give quality service on a regular but don't want to pay the pricetag that goes with it???? Based on the board chatter anyway. And I guess based on what many ladies say about guys here too. I can't say I know for sure because I have no problem commanding my rate but it just seems odd that guys complain about lack of service and will drive to get that and pay to get that after they drove but they won't pay and stay in Durham if that same lady was here?!?!?!

She doesn't talk a lot for sure but there is not a lot of time for this during a 30 minute session.
I like her looks and body and with me her responsiveness is fine.
I find her quite good and will repeat as time allows.

Speaking for myself...i have no issue seeing a touring lady and, paying her her touring rate...but after a couple close calls i prefer not to hunt in my own backyard...so to speak....if lady A...is here in the DR...and I dont feel comfortable seeing her ather chosen incall....Ill see her somewhere else...Markham...sauga..airport..vaughan..or somewhere other than the DR..but thats just me
Jessica, you're not wrong on basically all accounts. From my perspective, as one of the ones who aren't willing to pay the higher prices (I'm also not willing to drive to Toronto from Oshawa, hell I'm barely willing to drive to Ajax), is that the Durham TERB board is very capable of putting high quality providers on a pedestal and driving business to them and keeping them in town at a lower price. They keep their price low, they keep their turnaround high, everyone's happy. A good or bad review here can make or break an SP's career. But there does seem to be a mostly silent plague outside of the board who no-show, abuse, treat SPs poorly, etc. More than anything, I hear from SPs that Durham is an area of no-shows. I don't really know what to do about that. When I get the opportunity, I preach politeness on applicable threads, but that's probably not reaching the offenders.
Second to no-shows, I hear that SPs leave because they can get more money in Toronto or Markham. I don't really know what to do about that either because I'm one of the ones unwilling to pay more than $140/hh on a good day. For me it's a budget issue - I scrape together a few twenties whenever I can until I've cobbled up enough of them to afford a session. Who knows, maybe if I'd been introduced to the hobby with a $160/hh floor, then I'd scrape together my twenties until I reached $160, but since I don't have to, I don't. My best theory otherwise is that Durham is a relative discount compared to Toronto for lots of things. Concerts, gas, property tax, realty, renting. So it just makes sense to us Durham locals that Toronto costs more. Might not even be that Durham costs less, it's that Toronto costs more.

No shows I think can be handled better with better screening. I have to admit that I see a certain caliber of gentleman with my clientele. Even if I have not clicked with someone, they are still respectful, nice, intelligent men who treat me right. I believe that comes from screening and pricing.
But you don't meet my critria for men who confuse me. You don't complain about $250/he price tag for Durham but then spend all the time driving, gas money and parking, to go to TO to see a lady there for $250. That is the part that doesn't make sense to me. So many women who work in Toronto actually live in Durham. Many of them would do a couple of days a month in Durham if they could command the same price. Personally I think they can but the call volume will not be the same so over all, they make less.
Since I don't use this as a primary income source, I can go days, weeks without a booking and be more selective.
While my perspective is going to be a bit tainted since I’m in the wasteland that is Peterborough rather than Durham, I would (and do) make the trip to Toronto for one reason: consistency. Now I’ve never scheduled with one of the lovey providers who advertise here, but having to choose between gambling on an SP from Leolist, or scheduling with one from an agency is a no-brainer. It’s very rare to find an SP through an ad that’ll provide the full fantasy, whereas girls at the agency I book with have always been stellar, and super friendly. Not only that, but the one time I’ve had a bad experience the agency was more than willing to wave their fee for my next two bookings.
That said, I’d never base my decision on price. I’ll happily pay 250 regardless of where the SP is located for great service and good company.

That is a perspective I did not think of. I guess I only thought of indies because that is what is out here.

You hit the nail on the head. Since many of the reliable indies that have since retired from Durham (that I am familiar with), I myself had started using a Toronto based agency that provided outcalls to Durham, and although the price was a little high for this area, the service was fantastic and consistent, so they slightly higher price was a moot point. Unfortunately, they ended up making their minimum outcall times an hour and a half for this area, as well as raising their prices to the point where it was more than booking an hour and half outcall previously. Too bad... I don't even want to think about how much I had spent with their agency for over a year, but I have not used them since the price hike.
I guess what I'm saying is, the higher price was never an issue with me either, as long as the consistency and service was there.
While the tax percentage is higher in Durham than in Toronto, the cost of property is considerably less so the dollar amount paid in taxes is about the same. My townhouse would sell for half what I could get for the same property in Toronto.
I would be curious as to which agency you guys are using (PM would be appreciated, but I understand if you have secrets you want to keep) . I'm pretty close to Toronto and I am more interested in finding a roster of girls that fit my criteria than saving $20. I do prefer incall and I'd like to stay east of Bathurst.
I use Hot Pink List. Have had 100% success. Lots of reviews of the girls, so you can decide if any on is your cup of tea. The only downside is that most of the really good ones are at the airport or Mississauga. But every now and then one will show up at their location at 404 and Shepard. Parking is easy at the mall there, and the rate is $20/hh lower than the western locations. Besides that agency, I just look for girls that catch my eye and have rave reviews. Sephora at TDL, and Yasmina Minx were a couple. A lot of the agencies have locations around 404 and Hwy 7, so watch who is working at those spots, if west of Bathurst is a restriction.
