Somewhere In The Fabric Of Time And Space
I put out a detailed review of a bunch of the dancers at Go Go’s in Belleville. The review got back to some of them (not by my hand) and I was told that one of the dancers I didn’t review said “I don’t want to give him a dance now because what if he gives me a bad review?” Kind of insane because she’s one of the most beautiful women on the planet but the point stands. Others might not want reviews because if they’re positive they might get inundated in a way they don’t prefer.

There’s a lot to dissect here about ethics and consumer rights (as much as you can have rights in hobbying) but ultimately I’m on the side of - you should review. For the betterment of our hobby you should review.
Well that's it. Reviews are double-edged much like everything else.

I agree, people should review more. There are other issues directly on this board though.

Issues such as:
The "new member" tag. It doesn't account for accounts that have been present since before the format change on the board and is solely reliant on how active the account is in posting. Many guys don't check the profile when they see a review or comment from a "new member".

Many guys on here are too untrusting of posts from genuine new members. Many guys are too quick to call out a "shill" instead of following the "trust but verify" approach. Which, I get to some extent due to anonymity but still.

Many reviews and411 threads have titles that make it hard to track, follow, or search for people looking about a certain provider. You can't find a thread on say, Jenesis, if all the title says is "milf in Whitby" for example. Or find a negative review about a scammer if all the title says is "Scammer! Watch out! Don't see this one". These threads are helpful when they're first posted but as soon as they ultimately end up past the Page 5 mark, they're virtually useless.

Also, posting reviews and threads in the correct sections.

If we want new reviewers to post, we have to welcome them, trust but verify, and the veterans need to lead by example with the formatting of our own postings and comments.

I agree with every word of this.

It's hard to break into a new community, especially one that's bottle necked in the ways we've been talking about, and not every new person is going to be equipped to know that a thorough non-biased review that includes pros and cons is going to build trust more than a two liner that's all pros.

I just typed out a few suggestions for how posting rules could change to fix that and then realized that they were all double edged swords themselves. I think everything that's an enforced rule would be. So I think, to your point, it comes down to us. The vets leading by example and fostering participation and good posting. If a post from a new member reads like a schill, give them the benefit of the doubt and help point them in the right direction. Post good thorough reviews so that you're leading by example.

A "how to post a good review" post as a sticky at the top might go far too, though those are largely ignored so maybe not.

As for posting in the correct sections, I've always taken a bit of an issue with the naming of the 411 section because 411 implies information, and reviews are information. So I can understand why people can get confused by the header.

Reading this thread almost 8 months later I do find that guys are posting on new providers. I see threads on new girls. Maybe people read this thread in January and took it to heart.

We need to see reviews on more than the same old providers. I love a few of the legends. I rarely see the same MPA's more than once and only three of four SP's more than once. I am going to see one of my favourites tomorrow who is well reviewed. I won't review her because she is good with all the attention she is getting now.

But I appreciate people seeing new girls and I used to review girls that haven't been reviewed in the past. I will confirm or argue to a degree if I see a review that is the exact opposite of my experience or confirms it.

But people need to TOFTT to make this board interesting. And if some guys sound like shills, just let the tribe wade in who follow in his wake. Some shilly reviews get backed up pretty quick or shot down. It is part of the process. This board is more entertaining when we have variety of reviews and opinions. I think DR's scene isn't all bleak. When I was first on this board there was lots of rip offs and only a few SP's that were worthy of time . Now it is the MP scene that is hurting. Which is a shame, because that is how most of us enter the hobby

The Toronto massage section has become boring for the reasons stated here. Only a few spas and most of the messages are regarding the select few spas. We really need to talk about possible hidden gems that are there to be discovered.

vent mode off.

I used to TOFFT frequently Pre-COVID & now I am hesitant to do so due to the rates raising & decreased number of quality Providers. The market is saturated with SP’s providing subpar service for more cash/equivalent to reputable/well reviewed SP’s. It is not worth risking TOFFT anymore.

My advice to all:

Support your local SW!
Stick with the tried and true!

Simps are ruining the SW industry ever since COVID & OnlyFans happened.

Lots of girls don’t have ties here and won’t stay for the low rates and lack of luxury hotels and amenities. Toronto is so much more appealing to them, I think. If I was in Toronto I could get a nice condo and a pro photoshoot and charge near double, edited to add, so why wouldn’t the younger girls? And social media is ruining the game. Too many people know too much and they use it to scam. It was kinda better in some ways to be more underground.
This!

This is also why there are no more agencies. There is no available profit anymore. Making it even harder for there to be new providers. Trying to create an incall alone is difficult. Why do that when you can spend 30-45 mins and get to Toronto. The ladies here live here and many provide incalls in home so it is that convenience factors that has us staying here. At least for me now. I did tour outside of Durham dor 2 years because that was what was better for me at the time and I did make way more money.

Maybe some guys did read this and start posting as a result. If so, then great. There have been an influx of post about new providers which is excellent. I plan to see Brielle as a result (though I know she is returning, not necessarily new) as well as Skyla. However, at the time this thread was started this section had started to turn into an echo chamber. Though, I think we need to crack down on shills more if we can.

This ^ is why. 180-200/hh is way too much to be TOFTT for many of us, myself included, for the reasons SC said. Even bng prices have gone up with some providers charging upwards of 140-160 for bng (having cim and/or bbj has extras) which is absurd when 80-120 is reasonable. The quality of new providers has also gone down dramatically and the number of fake/scam ads has increased. Many of these new girls aged 18-29 are greedy and only in it for the money. They don't care about how good the service they provide is when they can make 200/hh for doing the bare minimum. They're young, short-sighted, and don't understand you attract more bees with honey than vinegar. Getting a sub-par experience for a premium price tag isn't worth TOFTT anymore.

There are too many individuals who post for the first about new providers in this area and their posts are always " amazing"

LL is full of ads for OF, which is fine if that is what you are looking for , you can report ads on LL but you need to register first.

Locanto recently changed their site so its harder to report scam posts

Best advice I read was to stick to your favorites

Locanto
