Of course it matters. If the self-appointed instructor is so irritating that it compels people to misspell things on purpose, is we really learning?

Well excuse me for living. Banish me to uninhabited island or burn me at the stake.

ROTFLMAO

Yiddush? WTF? Maybe yiddish?

This is way funnier in this thread than it would be anywhere else.

That was a typo. There is a difference between a typo and incorrect spelling. The u and i key are right beside each other on the keyboard but thanks for pointing that out.

Are you so sure you can tell the difference. I know the difference in word usage mentioned in the first post and many others but I am also sure that over the years I have violated those rules via a typo. I think a word and my fingers end up typing something that sounds similar but isn't.

Speaking of typos, there's one I make often. It's a fat finger typo.
I often type daty when attempting to type day.
Depending on the environment I'm in, that can either be funny or extremely and embarrassingly out of place.

What do you mean? Are you refering to the word stake? It is stake, not steak.
It wasn't a spelling mistake I was referring too, but a missing article.

"Well excuse me for living. Banish me to an uninhabited island or burn me at the stake.

If you wish to hold people to your personal high standard of spelling and grammar, you must be prepared for them to return the favour.

I believe an appropriate aphorism is "Don unto others as you would have done unto you"

Just be careful if you start posting anything about Ducks Unlimited. The "D" and the "u" from the first word are both in dangerous spots on the keyboard.
