I’m fairly new to this hobby, been mainly going to massage spas (will do a review post shortly). I’ve come to know the tipping etiquette for those.
I am considering “upgrading” my experience with a fs provider, but what’s a bit of a challenge for me is the cost. Don’t get me wrong, I believe they are definitely worth it, but is it expected to tip on top of the fee? Hypothetically, if a provider is charging $350 for an hour, is one expected to tip (let’s say another $50) on top of that? I am not a cheapskate by any means, and am not looking to negotiate, I just would hate to show up with the exact amount and get a bad rep as being cheap. Any advice from clients and providers would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

Rarely tipped an sp unless the service was beyond what I expected. When I do its typically 50

I can count on one hand how many times I’ve tipped beyond not taking exact change (eg 250 when rate is 240)

That being said, I also do not haggle, ever. I pay the posted rate with the expectation that the services offered as agreed are delivered.
At the other end of the continuum, I've tipped ALWAYS and done so UPFRONT. Followed up by a polite thank you note if the service was above and beyond. The size of the tip is not germane. Kindness and courtesy have their own rewards. Never regretted it. I choose carefully and have never been disappointed. I deem haggling to be vulgar.

I only tip if I go over the time said. I also believe you don’t haggle. Price is the price and if I think it’s too much I say thank you and move along.

SPs should not (key word here) EXPECT a tip just as they EXPECT us not to haggle. That’s how I look at it.

I never haggle. If I do not like the price I do not book her. On the other hand I never tip , but I do gift regulars for special events like Christmas. I can also assure you that I never had had the feeling that a tip with any SP [ all over 40 and usually Asian ] that I have seen was expected and I can also assure you they they ALL wanted to see me again and appreciated my business. When they wanted to see me again it was not for my un-sexy body , nor my sexual skills , lol.

My regulars ONLY get tipped $50 IF they go above and beyond the average visit. Only when deserved, or else it becomes an expectation despite subpar service.

I have clients who pay the rate they believe so hour plus tip and it has just become their “standard” amount because that is what they want to pay. I appreciate that.

I have had guys tip beforehand and I appreciate that. I have had guys tip after and I appreciate that.

I have had guys not tip and I have guys who’s tip is repeatedly seeing me. I appreciate that too.

I am good with all of it. I don’t expect one. I don't begrudge not getting one, I don't go beyond what I normally do in order to get a tip. If a guy thinks I have gone above and beyond, that is because he is comparing it to what his expectations were or past experiences. But I am just me. I will always be just me regardless of a tip or not.

For you OP, I would just book and not worry about tip and if after the session, you were blown away, then maybe tip her or even better, go back and see her again.

I will say for those who read my stuff, I am a sucker for coffee (my brand) and chocolate. So I will probably be more excited about that then cash. LOL.

My tipping is usually only going to be a result of rounding up to the next nearest $10, ie: price is $140, maybe I pay with a $50 and the rest in $20's. I can't remember actually giving a full $20 over the set rate............now I'm feeling like a bit of a cheap ass! lol

But as most of the other guys are saying, I've never tried to negotiate the price down. Always go with the expected rate, no questions asked. I'd also be less inclined to tip up front, unless it's a girl I know, so I know I can expect good service, otherwise if it's somebody I've never seen, I'd probably hesitate to tip unless I'm satisfied with the service?

In business, a glowing review and repeat customer is the best tip (except at restaurants).
I’m a huge reviewer. I’m on Google reviews all the time and I give detail. Not just stars. I feel it is so important. I know how they affect my business. I have had a standing NRP for a while now. ( not like official but I do ask in my dates not to review). I can’t handle the volume it brings. So I make sure I review basically every business I go in. And I even update. I had a company I used 12 years ago. And recently used them again during my move. So I went in and updated the review.

Same with Amazon or Wayfair. I review it all.
