You do have to keep in mind though that it was a crazy day...
Indeed it was.
When the first tower was hit, everyone assumed it a tragic accident.
When the second tower was hit we all knew it was some type of attack...

I guess i am the slow one.

It suddenly hit me last night...one building, the first in history, against certified engineering principles, one building i could have believed. But now I am looking at a replay of the event, two jets, two buildings. The odds seem out of this world. Where do i send in for the hat? I want a blue one.
And what would be the odds that six million non combattants of a single religion would perish in WWII?

Odds are useful in dealing with events beyond specific human agency. 9/11 was definitely not that, and anyone watching the first tower collapse should have known the second, suject to near identical stresses, would go too. Pretty much 100% given the inability of fire crews to affect the blaze.

I really think you also have to back up that, "…one building, the first in history, against certified engineering principles" statement. Buildings have been falling down, "against certified engineering principles" since we started bulding them. Look up Salisbury Cathedral. When we stare at the rubble, we begin the process of redefining the engineering. Gravity's a law; engineering's just special pleading.

The reasons I've heard is that the building would logically fall down on top of itself. The weight of each floor crashing down gives the "planned-implosion" look that you see of the old vegas hotels, stadiums, etc. when they're destroyed. It would crash down into a neat little pile around itself because that's the only way it could fall.
I heard that theory. The problem is that for that theory to work the centre elevator shaft columns would still be intact. They would act like a shaft to keep the falling floors straight. In the end there were no standing elevator shafts so to me the that theory is impossible.

Oh and the amount of money the landowner made from the insurance settlements and the amount of assets lost by multinatinal companies and banks. I just think it was an opportunity that was too good to pass up.

Two identical buildings, built at the same time, hit by two jets of near identical mass, velocity and fuel payload, and striking the buildings full on and close to the same floor level. Why would you be surprised that if one buiulding fell the other wouldn't be soon to follow?

Pecker we've been over this before. 1/4 of the face of the building had been scooped out spanning several floors. The pressurized oil lines running through the building didn't help. Amazing it stood as long as it did.

Like I said, it's a form of mental retardation.

What is even more amazing is that the peckerheads of this world are still going on about a massive conspiracy without ONE shread of evidence. Not one person has come forward in 8 years saying they were either a part of the conspiracy, written a book about it, or just in a moment of weakness, spilled the beans.

Doesn't anyone in their right mind think that with all the muckrackers out their looking to become the next Woodward/Bernstein (your remember them, all they did was bring down a president) of investigative journalism be able to come up with at least some substantial evidence.

It boggles the mind to think that some people believe that their own government, a government that cannot keep anything quiet, could have actually done this and kept it quiet.

Trying to talk logic to the conspiracy believers is definatly like talking to a wall. All they will say is that any information you have to disprove their beliefs have been manifested by the people behind the conspiracy in the first place.

Someone brought up Loose Change. Isn't it kind of funny that from their first movie till their last edition, almost the whole first movie was eiliminated, and that they had to find a different reference point to attack. You see when their theories proved to be incorrect, they just changed theories.

Look, there are people out there that believe that the moon landing was faked, the grassy knoll, NWO, The Illuminatti, and that Elvis is still alive. It's a free country, and they are entitled to their own beliefs, no matter how misguided they may be, and as long as they don't harm anyone in the process.

Another thing I find amazing is just how many experts out there that are so knowledgeable about building demolitions, and that they are hanging around an escort review board. I guess all the sex experts are busy blogging away on architectual sites.

This is no surprise. An astonishing large number of gullible people believe that abour 2,000 years ago some guy called Jesus was born of a virgin, performed miracles and rose from the dead. Some of these same people believe that the incoherent ramblings, legends and fairytales of the ancient Hebrews constitute the "word of god". Elvis being alive and the moon landing being faked are far more probable than the truth of the ancient fairytales.

You might be right. But I don't think his relatives really count.

A couple of examples right off the top of my head - the "OJ is innocent" and "I voted for Bush" crowds are both equally brain dead in my book!:p

well then consider in fact 3 buildings collapsed and no plane hit the third.
