Thoughts on Kissing

Kissing is essential for me. I'm not just paying for sex, but I look for intimacy. To each their own in this industry.

But mouthwash is essential, before and after. lol deep throat that mouthwash once I get back to the car

When you are in such close contact with a person as you are when having sex, not kissing them is unlikely to protect you that much from getting a cold etc.

I have been in this hobby for 20 + years , and for the longest I can remember if girl does not kiss , that would be a -1 for me, as I felt kissing makes it feel more real, passionate and makes me more excited.

Fast forward to about 2 years ago until last week, every other SP with DFK I cough a cold, sore throats Strep throats covid multiple times,
knowing with my type of work that Sp was the only contact.

Sitting in bed suffering from high fevers tonsils the size of footballs unable to eat or drink, missed work etc.

got me rethinking the whole kissing thing, I mean it makes sense a girl is kissing 2, 3 5 + guys a day and we are all passing it around sharing one mouth.

Kissing used to be a deal breaker for me but now , I would say I would skip the kissing part completely if not the whole hobby.

I would look into making test for your immune system seems to be your biggest problem. Not gonna call bullshit on your story...but yes, actually I call bullshit on your story. Sounds like an hypocondriaque overthinker journal with a sprinkle of whoreophobia.

Don't kiss if you don't want to, but making up stories is weird.

Interesting! It's never once occurred to me that I might be kissing my gentleman’s wife, GF or the last SW he saw when he kisses me. Nor do I think about that when I press lips with another SW. Kissing is an absolute must for me. It the sp is not kissing me the way I like to be kissed it's a bad session for me. Even if she is a really good fuck or gives an awesome bj it doesn't matter if she is not willing to make out with me. Obviously there are risks with kissing because your likely to exchange saliva and I have gotten sick many times after making out with an sp but to me it's all worth it. The day i dont want to make out with a beautiful sp anymore is the day i will retire from this hobby.

I think you’ve made some good comments on the boards but I agree with @Josephine here. I’m pretty sure sex workers don’t tell you their secrets just so you can spill the tea on TERB.

I understand you’re only sharing a personal anecdote but on its own it does put sex workers in a negative light when many do like kissing and don’t try to hustle clients with these tactics.

We’re just trying to clear the air and balance things out from a provider’s angle so you guys don’t get the wrong impression.

I think the reason it reads as more likely a "you problem" is that many of us kiss routinely and don’t get sick. Not to boast, but it’s probably safe to say I kiss quite a lot more people than you on a regular basis, including other sex workers. And yet I don’t get any more colds than I did before I was a sex worker. In fact, I can’t remember my last cold (knock on wood!). If I was to estimate, I get maybe one cold year.

I really don’t think this is luck. I think it’s the fact that I have a strong immune system and then also go out of my way to boost it. I use Listerine religiously and all you need to do is read the studies to know that it works!

I’m sorry you're under the weather but hope you take this commentary more sincerely as getting regularly sick can be a sign that your body is crashing or there could be something else in your environment creating a chronic condition. Maybe you think you’re in perfect health but the fact that you are catching viruses so easily demonstrates you’re not. The rest of us are just not catching colds every time we kiss.

Let’s not add to stigma in this community. One of the easiest ways to catch a virus is on a plane and yet I don’t see many people wearing masks. That would probably be a more obvious thing to lobby f the goal is to prevent spreading colds.

Like I said above, if you spend an hour in close proximity with someone, spending much of it directly in contact with their body, your faces inches apart or less, breathing the same air, if they are sick, you are very likely to get it, even if you aren’t swapping spit with them.

The infections you think you got from SPs are all very transmissible, not only by direct contact, but also by respiratory droplets or aerosols. They are also infections you can get out in the community very easily.

I agree with you, guys shouldn’t see girls when they are sick, and girls shouldn’t work when they are sick. However some of these illnesses can be transmitted even before you show symptoms (personal experience, when I got COVID, I already had spread it to someone - not a SW- before I even had symptoms). I have a girl I get to see rarely over the last number of years and very much look forward to our visits. She had to cancel on me once when she came down with something, and though I was disappointed to miss seeing her on my visit, I respected her even more for cancelling vs going thru with the appointment. I know also that if I got sick and had to cancel last minute, that she would be similarly understanding and appreciative.

Not kissing may reduce your risk very minimally, however if you are looking for a sexual encounter with another person where you are almost guaranteed not to get sick, you are SOL, unless you wear a mask and only get CBJ or CFS thru a glory hole. It sucks to get sick at any time, especially when you are only trying to have fun and enjoy one of life’s best treats, but it is a fact of life, kissing or no.

many years ago i had an encounter, and we did a lot of dfk.
(that) part was awesome.
a few days later i had a lot of pain in my throat and could barely swallow.
strep throat, apparently.
that was a week of hell.
i swore (off) from kissing for the longest time after that.
these days i am more ok with it, again, but in the back of my mind, i remember how bad it felt to have strep throat, and hope that does not happen again.
